We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Time to replace Sleepy Jeff Sessions

With Rudy Giuliani. Drain the swamp. Sessions has neither the energy, the hutzpah, or the brains. This is a job for a New Yorker.

Readers might find a couple of articles over at "The Last Refuge" that definitely indicate that Sessions is not asleep at the wheel. Two of these article were printed a couple of days ago. It appears that Sessions and company have been investigating the FBI for almost a year. There is a reason Mueller fired his chief investigator and there is more to go on the fibbies.

In addition to all those issues, Congress has subpoenaed the DOJ and the FBI for documents related to incidents and investigations and they've been ignored. Trump should call Wray and Sessions into the Oval Office and tell them that if those documents don't start showing up at the appropriate committees within three days, he will fire the highest ranking official in each organization - starting with them - every day until those documents or a reasonable explanation for their inaccessibility is produced.

Apparently the stories about Trump's bank records are more Fake News. The bank denies it has been subpoenaed.

The Swamp is much deeper than most anticipated unless they were making their billions off of it. Sessions has to replace his judicial staffers employed since Geo H W Bush reigned -- that's a whole bunch of years -- whose jobs depended on their interest in undermining our Constitutional Republic. As one raised in a Mafia-owned city, that's probably the entire department.

Otherwise and as we have seen, the PDJT tries to restore our Constitution only to be overrun by political-hack judges who stall him at every turn and cost the taxpayers millions. Better to get your dominoes lined up in the DoJ before you trigger the great fall. (Remember those demos on Johnny Carson, etc. where thousands of little bricks did amazing tricks in a matter of minutes? My kids still have plastic bins filled with them for weekend entertainment when we're snowed in.)

Fake News still abounds as Jim notes. What we can do is call our Congresscritters to demand they stop Mueller, who is flapping at windmills to save his neck.

The fact that Sessions inexplicably recused himself and allowed this partisan fishing expedition to go forward told me all I needed to know about him.

The F.B.I. he could do in a week.
