Re: California's employee retirement system.

The problem is that in every state these programs are controlled by politicians, negotiated by unions and managed by the very people who will benefit from them. Many years ago politicians decided that police and firemen could retire at age 50 with full benefits. The unions demanded it the politicians were promised votes if they approved it and the taxpayer was not at the table. Additionally retirees can get early retirement and increased benefits if they retire with work related disabilities; so most police and firemen do iindeed retire with disabilities even those who are remarkably healthy.

What needs to change it to take it out of the hands of politicians and unions. Create a system that treats every retiree the same and uses generally accepted accounting principles to manage the system and not politics. Base the payout on real life factors such as how much the employee has contributed and life expectancies vs union strength.

Lest We Forget

In 1987, I was asked by a young girl "is it ok if you are a woman doing research work to steal the results from a white male researcher and publish them as your own?" She was in her early teens at the time. When I responded with "no--that is stealing", her response was stunning: "mom says it's ok, because women have been held down for centuries". Just repeating this story so that MF'ers will remember what their daughters and grand daughters have been taught during the past 30 years. These gals now making so many, many claims of sexual misconduct--I promise you some of those claims are fraudulent by definition. These gals truly believe it is --ok to destroy a white man's career for any idealized goal that the believe will put forward the feminist agenda. They believe that if they take out the local music teacher it will make the world a better place, because a woman will be put in his job and that is progress!

A whole lotta youth are doing what the Boomer Conned right never did. They're either ignoring the left's best red herring or they're flatly identifying it for what it's always been. Which is a total manufactured red herring.

The Boomer Conned Right? Not so much. The BCR has by now adopted the left's best red herring and regularly advertise that no, they are NOT racist sexists, dammit. Then they point at each other and go, SEE?

Give the BCR 20 years on any issue and it'll regularly become the left.

CNN Fails To Report These 24 Democrat Sex Scandals. They made up for it by obsessing over Roy Moore for more than a week. Then when the "victims'" stories started unraveing a few days ago, the Moore din went dark. Nothing on CNN or MSBC, nothing in the WAPO or NYT, Gloria Allred has gone underground.... Meanwhile, Moore says he's developing lawsuits.

As to the future of P&G ... all i can say is cry me a river.

I bet one wouldnt have to dig deep to find they have donated gazillions to causes that serve crosspurpose goals from theirs. Such as planned parenthood, contraceptive causes, anti population growth groups.

I can not understand it. They want growth and sustainibility and yet they kill off the future potential sustainers.

In the Twin Cities metro area Costco did not open a store south of the river for years, because all of the towns on the south side have municipal liquor stores, no competition allowed. Then Burnsville negotiated some sort of deal.
