We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Dems are turning on Bill for the same reason they are turning on Franken - it gives them street cred when they want to go after Pubbies who are accused of sexual misconduct and it's cheap. Clinton is almost a distant memory and the Dem party has moved so far to the left of him that his wife had to disavow many of the laws he promoted. It costs them nothing to be done with them. When they are done, they can go after any Pubbie who has been charged (rightfully or wrongfully - and most likely wrongfully) of some sexual impropriety, i.e. Moore and Trump.

I'm not sure it was a planned thing.

Every now and again you hear of a forest fire started when the backfire set by firefighters to clear out brush gets out of control. Similarly, I think the Weinstein takeout was to be a warning to the Clintons that if she attempted to pursue the 2020 nomination, She could get taken out too, the horse's head in the bed, if I may insert another metaphor.

What wasn't calculated was that this would tear the scab off of such a large and festering wound (boy, I can't leave the metaphors alone today) and take over the media completely.

The alternative explanation is that this is the Clinton wing of the party making it clear that they will not go away quietly or go down alone.

The Brazelle revelations were supposed to re-center the attack on the Clintons, but bringing on the pretty girls talking about sex made better TV than the auditors and accountants talking about campaign finance rules.

Maybe those of us who grew up with old-fashioned out-of-date values and didn't hit on or sleep around with multiple women will be vindicated one of these days.

Certainly Pence, with his personal code of never being alone with a woman not his wife, seems like a genius right now.

Liberals know that if you just get rid of guns then murders and violence will decrease. Of course they never mention the late great USSR where guns were banned and the murder rate was twice the US murder rate. When the facts are inconvenient, just ignore them.

If you run a correlation of the 40 or so countries of Europe with their murder rates and gun possession rates, you get a negative correlation of about -0.3, which definitely doesn't make the case that more guns lead to more murders.

In other words, ANY investigation of Hillary and her foundation no matter the crimes committed would be an 'abuse of power'? Got it. Because THAT'S how it works in this country.

Waiting for the left to finally cut the crooked Clintons loose. When are they going to stand up for the law and fairness?

Trump willingly handed over campaign emails and other information when asked by Mueller. He seems fine with the whole Russia investigation. Wonder why that is?

Could it be those who are GUILTY are afraid of scrutiny? Hillary is looking dirtier and dirtier by the minute. Podesta screaming about it in an op-ed doesn't help any.

Why the Dems Turned on the Clintons, and the Special Counsel for investigating Hillary: Looks like the Dems might just be willing to vote for a Special Counsel. "We come to bury Hillary and Bill, not to praise them." Figuratively, of course; not like Jimmy Hoffa.

I had friends who were Arkansas-based manufacturers and distributors of case goods, largely out of South America, who could not believe their shenanigans while occupying various offices prior to becoming president, mostly in the transport and trade of cocaine and arms, but also as a training ground for "black" operatives. My friends finally left the state as their products were being used to hide drugs and it wasn't worth the lower prices Arkansas afforded to risk one's people or brand.

Arkansas was the second home to many gangsters of shiny suit days -- they now have MBAs and wear pricey, tailored three-piece threads -- which involved much money-laundering amongst some families we know too well.

The world will continue to mock us as long as The Clinton Cabal is on the streets. And add the spawn of Prescott Bush, who have been unwrapped to be another unsavory crewe. Actually, given sufficient time, most of our pols and CEOs will face questions on their integrity. Not the way I want my children to perform.

Sad. We should be better than this.

One of the first "big trips" the Clintons took after leaving office was to Viet Nam. As some of you may remember--the most important route for drugs out of the golden triangle is down the Mekong River to the ocean. Take a look at google maps and check the next place they chose to "recreate" at--Port Douglas and Cairns Australia. It's not a short flight, they might have spent a day or two in Malaysia. But, Port Douglas and Cairns are drug centers of Australia. I have always felt that they were probably securing the purchase and routes for large sums of drug purchases. Neither Hillary or Bill are much for snorkeling on the reef! Port Douglas is extremely isolated. If memory serves me correctly, I think this trip took place less than 2 months after leaving office.
