We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

"St. Louis Aldermen Pass Resolution to Honor Heroin Dealer who Tried to Run Over Cops ". They pulled this crap yesterday with much hugging and crying on the part of the supporters of the black heroine dealer that was killed. The guy's mother was center stage gaining "love" from the Democrat mayor and all those in the city government who support giving drug dealers and thugs room to move about the city and express their desires one way or the other. Pretty disgusting. Not to mention they want to re-join the city with the county so the crime rates are reduced in the national averages. It will get done by hook or by crook according to the way the Dems operate.

The question that comes to me is: Why are there still any cops left on the job? Why haven't they all resigned and moved somewhere else? How can the aldermen expect cops to do their job without backing?

Duh. Normal folks don't want to date them, and most of the 'nonconforming' crowd are narcissistic 'look at me I'm special' types who want to be blindly loved for 'what they are' are not going to be interested in another narcissist.

Yeah. I just can't figure that out, other than maybe being trans means you have two sexes (or more, these days) to strike out with.

I'm not just being facetious. Men and women more or less understand what to expect from one another, and with a bit of good sense and normal decency it works out well.

The trans crowd largely makes up their own 'gender' with all sorts of oddball personal peculiarities and expects someone else to want to deal with these oddities. But the other trans has their own set of oddities, usually they are NOT what the first one wants... so there is nothing to base any real relationship on.

But to suggest they tune their expectations (as both normal men and women do in selecting a mate) is considered absurd to these people.... they are too obsessed with not compromising 'who they are'.

Not much hope there.

Good grief. A baby was born at sea on the USS Dwight Eisenhower? No seamanship taught? Just go to sea and drive around hoping the ship doesn't hit something?

I am stunned by this report. A PC Navy trying to promote climate change and 'Inclusion' in the "Navy Family"? It will take more than money to straighten out this branch of the service.

That actually came up in discussion. It seems it gets difficult when someone is currently trying to identify as one sex and needing to establish they are very, very much that sex by only having relations with the stereotyped opposite.

The timing is just never right, apparently. They want to be a boy when you need them to be a girl.
