Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Thrill du Jour: A record-breaking Mt. Washington climb


Alas, not a record-breaking hiking climb, but highly exciting with the cliff edges. July 9, 2017.


"Travis Pastrana crushed the Mt. Washington Hillclimb record reaching the 6288’ summit in a stunning 5:44.72. The #199 WRX STI with a specially fitted 600hp engine actually beat the record two times, running a 5:46.28 on the first attempt up the twisty 7.4 mile race course. This is just shy of a twenty-five second gain on the old record of 6:09.09 held by Subaru Rally Team USA teammate, David Higgins, from 2014."


Not your hippy hippie grandmother's Subaru.

I don't like the term "cuck" because I think it is demeaning, often has anti-semitic usage among other things, but Williamson is a cuck. He's a too clever by half boring infant terrible, trying to make a living insulting Trump and his working class backers. He attempts to portray Trump as a failed businessman and entrepreneur , but the question is who is Kevin Williamson? He's a snarky little nobody trying to be a biting commentator when there are scores of others all over the political spectrum far more talented.
A prediction : Williamson and most of the rest of the silly little Nancy boys at National Review will fade into well deserved obscurity along with the Republican cowards they co-habitate with.
