When the country is more divided, somehow it's never their fault, not even a little bit.

That is a symptom of a several personality disorders, just for reference.

Hey, you know what you get when you promote identity group politics and constant policy changes based on diversity identity, etc.?

A country more divided.

Guess that critical thinking the indoctrination centers are always going on about isn't really a thing. But then that is another division, those who can foresee the logical outcome of a policy and those who can't.

Says sex re-assignment surgery runs between $125-$140,000.
Not to mention ancillary services, time off for recuperation, etc., etc.
If 12,000 people in military want/need this surgery - that adds up to some $1.5 Billion dollars

The sad part is the it is the 'C' students who innovate and change things. A students pretty much by definition are wedded to the "ideas and customs of the majority" and are mostly well prepared to be cube dwellers and bureaucrats.

Isn't the old joke about Harvard "The 'A' students go to work for the 'B' students in companies owned by the 'C' students"?

That is, the "A" students became the technical, the analysts, and the traders, while the "B" students became managers and the "C" students were only there because they already belonged to wealthy families.

There must be some truth in that old saying, Dan.

My dad's college roommate ended up as a senior executive in an international construction firm.

When hiring engineers he said they always preferred the C, C+ engineers who had participated in lots of extra curricular activities in college. His firm found these candidates were the most suitable to get the work done.

Their experience was that the straight A students belonged in the lab.

I don't know what they do now when everyone is a straight A student.

There is quite a bit of difference between a C,C+ engineering student and a C,C+ Sociology major.

At what point does a president become too erratic to function? Short answer: When he loses control, especially of the message. No sign of that yet. If he's going to defang the establishment, things will probably be a little chaotic for awhile. Break eggs to make omelette, order out of chaos, and all that other Orwellian/Nietzschean stuff.

One of the Instapundit posters pointed out that in other news yesterday, the Senate dealt the GOP effort (such as it is) to repeal/replace/modify Obamacare a pretty nasty setback. But of course Trump's transgender tweet sucked up most of the media oxygen. This is not the first time this has happened. I'm not gonna go around claiming Trump is playing 8-dimensional chess but at some point people should realize that this isn't entirely dumb luck, either.

"Obamacare Repeal Woes"

That is not a flaw it is a feature. I was always intended to do this. Obamacare was and is a time bomb that cannot be defused without it blowing up. Why do you think Obama always has that stupid ass grin on his face. Obama knew it couldn't work, knew it couldn't be repealed (without disaster to the politicians who dared take away any free stuff) and this was what the left wanted. The motto of the American left is the exact opposite of MAGA (make America great again). They want to destroy it and remake it without the constitution.

Repeal and replace is a trap. It will forever give the Democrats a scapegoat when "whatever" replaces Obamacare fails. The only "right" thing to do with the ACA is to end all the taxes, subsidies and mandates and then don't touch it, talk about it, or try to "save" it. Let it wither on the vine.

If the taxes are repealed then Obamacare is no longer Constitutional....remember that the SCOTUS declared that it was a tax and not health insurance. Mandating health insurance was unconstitutional. Get rid of the Obamacare taxes and then Obamacare is done.

Two of my favorite fake news slights of hand. If they can't get the poll majority they want, start combining things in the Qs. Then talk about percentages of a sub-group that favors their position rather than percent of the entire sample.
