We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Alarmist sensationalism. This is within boundaries of normal seismic behavior when a large caldera complex is situated over a deep magma body. The determining "We're all gonna DIE!" factor is deformation, as in inflation of the area overlying the body - and, a lot of inflation, on the order of feet, over a short time period. An example of that sort of inflation was noted in the vicinity of Goat Rocks, on the flank of Mount St. Helens, shortly before the eruption of May 1980. Nothing like that is going on at Yellowstone, presently. Earthquake swarms occur in the hydrothermal plumbing under Yellowstone, along with inflation/deflation in areas of the caldera, all the time.
