We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I think with age comes emotional issues we never had before. They deprive us of the "get up and go". DH and I are staying active--but not fit. We belong to a gym but haven't been for a long time. Every Sunday night I say ok. this week we are going to go three times. We can't go in the morning because of what time we eat our meals. If we go in the late afternoon the place is packed. Can't go after dinner--again because of food /digestion issues. Also, because we don't like driving at night! I do have some dumb bells we use regularly and we try to do squats and such. It has something to do with "hope".
