Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Of course ESPN is losing customers because of its politics. I am one of the men who used to watch ESPN all the time back when it was just sports. Now the only time I go to its website is when MLB.com or NFL.com won't work. I was tired of having to listen to Bruce Jenner praised for changing teams in the middle of the game.

I tried to find the art in the Why Aren't People Rushing to Buy My Art piece. I think this is one of those times when an "artist" says "hey, watch this. Some idiots will think me wrapping my head in meat is art and pay me to do it. Can you believe that?!?!" to his friends. My children doodling with crayons in kindergarten is more art than this crap.

What Dems won't admit about Trump's 1st 100 days is that they have been doing everything within their power to sabotage Trump's efforts to undo Obama's damage. Yet, Trump is still winning despite the sabotage. And independent voters can see which side is made up of shrill, whiny criminal obstructionists and which side is trying to do the right thing. I hope Dems do keep on with "the resistance". It ensures Trump will win in the midterms and in 2020. This battle for our political soul will also help us win the culture wars eventually. So bring it in, Lena Dunham. I want you to be the face (and fat ankles) of the resistance. If you are, Americans will want to wipe the resistance off our TV screens forever.

President Trump shows far more talent at addressing the New World Order's efforts to rule the globe than any president since…I can't remember when.Maybe Ike. The next 100 days should prove even more interesting than the last as finally he has the critical members of his team on board.
