We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
There is rarely any penalty for being wrong or even dishonestly wrong. And there is a huge incentive to put out false narratives about health and the effect common foods and supplements have on health. The two largest benefactors from this false information are the supplements industries and trail lawyers. The next big round of class action lawsuits will be for Roundup. First some unproven claim that roundup causes cancer and then the ambulance chasers file class action lawsuits and a million or so people who may or may not have ever even come in contact with roundup sign on and put Monsanto out of business and make a dozen lawyers multi-millionaires.
The class action law was written as a favor to lawyers by lawyer legislators. It is the full lawyer employment law. The make every lawyer a millionaire law. The buy a lawyer a BMW law. No worries that when a company goes bankrupt from one of these bogus law suits that it's employees are the big losers.
I wonder if there is any kickback from the lawyers to the authors of the study...
