There is a very specific reason for the Women's march. In our society women are given a gender privilage on so much in a social and political life. It is impolite to yell at a woman or to remove here from the microphone if she jumps up on stage, that is why the black power/BLM movement used women to confront Sanders onstage. At that point anything Sanders and his security personal did would be a terrible scene. This ploy is repeated in most of the left wing demonstrations often a woman, preferably an older woman, will be confrontational, pushy, even attacking the right wing target for the express purpose of provoking a gotcha image for the even news. Here in Portland Oregon the left wingnuts often use this technique. They confront some poor guy trying to get past the crowd to go to work and some female(s) get pushy and mouthy sometimes grabbing something the person had like a hat or cell phone, sometimes just stopping him from passing the crowd. While the hapless civilian is engaged with this inexplicable crazy woman the co-conspirators, usually men wearing a mask, will sucker punch him knocking him to the ground and follow up with kicks to the head and ribs. The left is following Alinsky's rules for radicals while the rest of the nation is following the 1st amendment and the media tries to paint some kind of moral equivalency between these two very different things.
