We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Why? As I read the constitution the federal government cannot legally do it. States could.

The Democrats pushed through a flawed plan intentionally so that it would fail and require a fix that would include everyone. That was always the intent. To destroy our existing and quite good health care to force us to accept Cuban style health care. The always had malice in their heart and always knew it would be a disaster and harm the middle class the most..

How many non-citizens got Obamacare? Can't know it's a state secret. How many non-citizens get other forms of tax payer supported health care? Another state secret. When they say "health care for all Americans" they really mean for illegals and other non-citizens. From a Democrat point of view it makes sense. The illegal alien vote won Hillary the popular and could have won her the electoral college too if she hadn't alienated all the middle class voters.

My advice for Trump is simply end the requirement that anyone purchase Obamacare AND to declare that since a taxpayer funded subsidy is unconstitutional that would end as well. Then allow it to die from lack of interest.

Time to convert to Christianity- Leave it to the Onion to present the Christian position pretty well (not correct that Jesus was reborn).

Rolling Stones- I just put my Hot Rocks CDs in the car for my son and me to listen to. Had it for years w/o ever playing it. In my area the local classical rock station plays the Stones A LOT, but they don't play a lot of Stones songs. So this has been enjoyable, many songs I haven't heard in quite a while, and most are new to my son.

Point about the misogyny; well Tyler, that is the point. Stones are Alphas. Stop being such a delta white knight.

Regarding Venezuela, nothing but crickets from our MSM. How sad. This is the America Obama envisioned for all of us make no mistake, Hilliary was ready to follow in his footsteps.

Still time to convert to Christianity before Christmas? I dunno 'bout that, but i hear there's lots of open seats in the churches, if'n ya'd like to go check it out.

Me, I'm still likin' the Stones, though I wouldn't likely hear any of their new stuff.

Resolutions? I resolve to be more offensive when appropriate.

Dems can do what they want to rain on Trump's parade, but the parade will continue regardless. It will make them soooooooooooooooooooooo MAD.

Well, first off, it cannot generate a tidal wave nor a tsunami. It can generate a big splash wave. So extra points off for not knowing that a tsunami, often mis-called a tidal wave, is when the entire water column is in motion not just the top few feet/meters as with wind waves, wake, etc. They are damaging because all that energy in the water column is compressed as it feels the shoaling of the coast causing the water to rise up, inundating much further than storm waves.

But I'm sure the guy has oodles of magic parchment (diplomas).

As a GenXer, I can remember learning ALL about global cooling and the coming Ice Age in my science classes. We had units on it where we had to brainstorm solutions to the giant ice sheets and such.

Guess which age group today polls as the most skeptical about global warming???
