We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
That's a good one. This is another that I like and as a bonus it has music and Wolf Blitzer on election night listing state after state Trump won. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzl8xjkgXCo&t=2s
If I had to pick a favourite, it would be that clip of George Clooney in Cannes last May.
Across the board the entire bien-pensant class of America - from smug politicians and talking-head political wonks to self-satisfied celebrities and smarmy comedians got it wrong.
As they say in those MasterCard ads: priceless.
(It would be good to see a video assemblage of what they are saying now - or how they're explaining themselves...)
Does anyone else remember a time when US presidents wouldn't lower themselves to attacking people on TVs and social media? I know Trump is uncouth in that way, but Obama trolling him on Kimmel is PRICELESS. And then when Trump won?!?! This is now my favorite TV moment of the year.
Very nice series, in particular the "leadoff-number" featuring Clueless Clooney (aka: "Clueless George"), and especially the ever-execrable Nanny Pee-Lousey...
