We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Art of the deal.

Obama worked as hard as he ever worked at anything to save those jobs but the Carrier execs never showed up at the golf course.

Sadly, there are people on the left who are angry and ranting about the Carrier deal all over the internet.

Why can't people rejoice that 1100 jobs were saved?

Who cares that it was Trump/Pence who made it happen.

Tired of the negativity & us vs. them politics. We are in this together, folks. We should be happy when our fellow citizens keep their jobs.

I get a lot of pleasure watching the head Turk of Young Turks admit that the Donalt pulled it off because he was strong and Obama is not. I congratulate him on his honesty.
