We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
in terms of weather, the weather fetishists have hijacked the concept of science. no weather obsessed loon can tell you what conditions would disprove the comin' ice age global warmin climate change hot cold wet dry because the goal posts are constantly On The Move and data is always being refined forged.

And tell me, please, when was the climate perfect? what was that day, presumably during the Clinton administration, when everything was fucking dandy.

Politics is the new religion on campus. Every bit as emotional and dogmatic as one of the 'old fashioned' religions. Plenty of blind faith. And human sacrifices are de rigueur.
What's worse is to attend a Christian church with one of those people. So condescending. So arrogant. Not only do they want to rewrite the Constitution of this country - they also want to rewrite the doctrines of the church as well. Because they know best, don'tyaknow.
p.s. I used to teach at Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana - that same town that changed the names of Columbus Day and Good Friday so they could still have the day off, but not be seen to support a 'racist/sexist /jewish/christian /male/white /fillintheblank' agenda. This is the same town where the last two [dem] county auditors got caught with their hands in the till. ww.idsnews.com/article/2016/10/auditor-candidates-shadowed-by-former-auditors-past-fraud
My eyes hurt from rolling them so much. [And people wondered why we homeschooled....]
