Relax. I recently had the pleasure of working for months in Mexico. They have it down to an ordinary civic manifestación. Lotsa buses from all over México converge on the Ciudad de México, park on all the side streets, and the people march up and down prescribed routes, chanting with bullhorns, petitioning their government for redress of grievances. Bored police wander the sidewalks, cops on motor scooters shadow the parada. One time I saw the crowd march down Reforma right up to the gates of Los Pinos.

Darn near happens every day. Definitely happens every weekend. It's how the people and the 1%'er elite converse.

In CdMex, el gobierno tolerates it to a point. The teachers had been running Occupy México for a week in the Zócalo. The Federales came in on Friday afternoon and cleaned them out without violence, down to the last, as the Mexico City Marathon was being run on Saturday morning and the Zócalo was the starting line. Not sure the all went, but the buses left.

Down in Oaxaca, it's another story. The manifestaciónes have been going on for months, major streets barricaded for days, with sporadic violence. The Mescal Country tours are discouraged for the visiting gringos, too dangerous they say. Maybe that's just the Mexicans wanting to keep all the good stuff for themselves, ¿quíen sabe?. Then again, the Oaxaqueños have been been a prickly bunch against the nominal dominant rulers of México for the last two thousand years. Nobody ever really conquered them, they all reached accommodations. The Oaxaqueños were too smart and useful to subjugate by violence.

How do I know this? Our company's security people sent us daily emails describing the day's planned festivities, the routes and times, streets. They got this from the Mexican government's web sites. It's all scheduled and planned in advance.

Apparently, the lideres del los protestantes y los gobernantes son cuates. Everybody just wants to have a good time, say their spiel, make their point, and get out of Dodge.

Al lot of the cash comes from the DOJ slush funds created with bank and Big Wall Street financial shakedowns prosecutions and plea bargains and settlements, which invariably involve paying into a "community reparations" fund of some sort. Yeah right. Funneled/shoveled out directly to every left-wing vassal organization.

Basic governance 101: no slush funds, all incoming monies go straight to the General Fund, no Department ever has its "own" money. We have failed this test. The Feds, States, and municipalities now all maintain "special" funds for "special" purposes. It's how the progros survive.
