Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

This is not about Trump; he is just the vehicle. This is about the Middle being squeezed by those who game the system, the Takers and Skimmers at the top and the Takers living on subsidies at the bottom. We are top heavy with useless, fake, busy work jobs, that don't add any value and piggyback on the wealth created by others, while they undermine the abilities of American businesses to compete and innovate. Think of an upside down pyramid with the producers at the bottom. It is no wonder that the parasites, whose main claim to fame is being connected, are anxious.
Is there anyone left who doesn't realize the formerly productive people in the Middle, are dipping into the seed corn? There are no great long term solutions, even from Trump, short of reducing the American working person to the level of the third world workers, possibly inevitable. Anyway, if that is what you aspire to, you have HRC. Not to worry, I don't know if there are enough people in the Middle left to prevail, I guess we are about to find out. Trump remains the only candidate who represents the interests of the working people.
Bird Dog: If only Trump would pretend to act like a sober president for a few weeks, he could win.
Good luck with that. When there are trillions of dollars -- not millions or billions, but trillions -- at risk from our UniParty globalists elites, expect some blowback such as this locker room babble among men that NBC found in its archives from 10 years ago. "Sex in the City" used worse language and, as a matter of fact, our dear prez delivered a speech back in 1995 at the Cambridge Library quoting from his book about black people's "ribs and p*ssy" which is on youtube.
jma: When there are trillions of dollars -- not millions or billions, but trillions -- at risk
That's right. On the one hand, you have a conventional politician, an incrementalist who is known for compromise; and, on the other hand, you have an ignorant narcissist with the maturity of a 12-year-old. jma: our dear prez delivered a speech back in 1995 at the Cambridge Library quoting from his book about black people's "ribs and p*ssy" which is on youtube. 1) Obama is quoting someone he knew in his book. 2) Wanting p*ssy and grabbing p*ssy — because you can —are quite different things. Pullease. A conventional politician???? This lady and her husband have stolen hundreds of millions of dollars through bribes and corruption and put it in their pockets, both directly and through a series pf phony "foundations." And that's before you get to her statements calling for persecution of Christians and abolition of the First and Second Amendments. And a husband who is a sexual predator. No one has talked about the video that just came out showing him groping a stewardess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1loRkVW0fys
I am voting for Trump partly because I want to see the Clintons arrested and put in prison. And having lived under them for 8 years already, I can assure you Trump is nothing compared to those two snakes. Jim: This lady and her husband have stolen hundreds of millions of dollars through bribes and corruption and put it in their pockets, both directly and through a series pf phony "foundations."
There is no evidence whatsoever that money flowed from the Clinton Foundation to the Clintons. The Foundation is subject to annual independent audits, its financial records are public, and its donors are public (even though that is not required under the law). Zachie-baby, just how stupid are you? Go to Charles Ortel on his dot.com account or twitter for a rundown on how the Clintons have screwed the foundation world with their frauds.
mudbug and Jim, thanks for your responses. I have a hard time tolerating this fool, who only succeeds in mutilating a great site with his idiocy.

Jma: Go to Charles Ortel on his dot.com
Okay. Charles Ortel: the Clinton Foundation illegally veered from its IRS-authorized mission within days of Bill Clinton’s departure from the White House in January 2001 The original IRS application included the bylaws of the Foundation, which have a broad statement of Purpose: "The corporation may engage in any and all other charitable, educational and scientific activities permitted to an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code." As this is easily verified from public records, it's not clear that the author has any credibility in the matter.

Z: On the one hand, you have a conventional politician, an incrementalist who is known for compromise
Yeah, like when she was flogging her health care reform during her husbands administration and there was a concern (read expectation) that it would bankrupt a lot of small businesses she showed her knack for compromising by saying that she wasn't responsible for all those under capitalized businesses. Z: 2) Wanting p*ssy and grabbing p*ssy — because you can —are quite different things. That's quite true. Maybe we could talk to Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones and dozens of others about the difference. mudbug: Yeah, like when she was flogging her health care reform during her husbands administration
After the failure of which, she joined forces with Democrats and Republicans to pass the Children's Health Insurance Program, an incremental reform made possible through compromise. According to Wikipedia, the bill was going to cost $20B. When Republicans balked at the price tag saying it didn't fit in the balanced budget agreement between Congress and the White House.
According to Wikipedia: [quote]Then the bill had to comply with the existing balanced budget agreement between Congress and the White House, something that Lott said it did not.[4] Pressure was on to reduce the amount of grants involved, with $16 billion a possible compromise; Hillary Clinton instead argued for $24 billion.[/quote What a compromise! She proposes to add $4B to the original number that was too big to fit in the budget deal. I note you didn't comment on the "p*ssy" part. Thanks for playing. You said Hillary was the incrementalist and compromiser but the only evidence you cite is where she refused to compromise.
Nice try.

You aren't making much sense. They tried for universal healthcare. When that failed, they tried the incremental approach, which was to provide healthcare for the most vulnerable - children.

"ISIS, Not Russia, Is The Enemy In Syria"
Obama made a huge mistake funding, supporting and arming ISIS and the other Islamic terrorist groups against the legitimate government of Syria. That, compounded with our dissing of Israel and surrender to Iran and secretly giving Iran billions of dollars in various foreign currencies, flown in on pallets in the middle of the night, so they can make nuclear and conventional weapons is beyond comprehension in stupidity. You can't even describe what U.S. "policy" is in the Middle East, because it makes absolutely no sense. I really want to know what the payoffs were to Kerry, the Clintons and Obama. And, of course, there'e the return of Tom Brady after serving his time for Roger Goodell's Kabuki Dance... Welcome Back, Tom Brady!
Is social science just a modern false god?
Yes. Next question. Wow, a conventional, incrementalist; that is just awe inspiring, No?
I would have said she was a good test taker, good at cramming and reciting facts, and capable of parroting the ideas of others. Not saying, she is not intelligent and glib; and these skillsets do have their uses. It just doesn't necessarily translate into originality, vision, deep thinking, quick thinking, problem solving, steadfastness, or a lot of other traits that manifest in leadership and accomplishment. Good Lord, it is not as if she is going to bring the country as a whole together. "Amazon Pulls 'Sexy Burka' Halloween Costume After It’s Declared 'Racist'…"
