We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I disagree. Very heated discussions going on via my Facebook friends. Many pointing out that there are really only 2 choices, and which is the better choice? Even if you don't like Trump, his problems don't rise to the level of Hillary's deceits and carelessness with top secret info. For the independent and centrist voter this will resonate. For dyed-in-the-wool democrats of a certain age, this will not matter. But there aren't enough of those to help her win.
I haven't entirely given up hope that the middling undecideds will care about this stuff. Obviously no Clinton supporter would; they've had decades to digest the evidence of her crookedness and, if they ever cared, long since ceased to.
I don't know. This is the second night in a row that both the Daily Show and The Nightly Show have highlighted the prosecutorial discretion. Nightly also ran the MSNBC Morning Joe Hillary/Comey piece. There was some genuine disgust but they are still fervent anti-Trumpers.
On the other hand, the Democrats that might migrate are like the ones in KY when the Tea Partier won the governors office. The head of the legislature, a Democrat, didn't sound like he's would fit in with the DC/MSM/Hollywood Dem crowd. Referred a lot to God and such.
I've heard this argument about Clinton before, but it's wrong. Millions of voters are too young to have experience the Clintons' previous shenanigans. Others who just don't follow politics are always shocked when they're finally exposed to Hillary's arrogance, incompetence and brazen criminality.
The only thing that saves her is if people view Trump even more negatively.
No matter how hard I try I just cannot give up hope. I live in an extremist blue state and I can report that there are NO Hillary bumper stickers or signs to be seen. Some Bernie stickers and signs around, but nothing compared to Obama's first coming. My hope is that the Democrats just stay home. That they see Hillary as just not worth fighting for and we'll eventually have a vagina in the WH someday anyway. My uber-left sibling thinks Trump will win, and I have a feeling she plans to vote for him since Obamacare is costing her money and she can't land a decent job; she's crazy but she ain't stupid. Even Democrats know that Hillary means 4 more years of this economy... don't even need to mention the state of our national security.
