Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

No love of the country, please


Clinton Labor Secretary Warns Against July 4th ‘Americanism’


Would Robert Reich be directing that warning to all new immigrants, or to the children and grandchildren of immigrants, who left everything behind to come to this lovely place for freedom and opportunity?

It is often inexplicable to see an intelligent person spout gross stupidity. This is common amongst the left. I believe what causes it is a extremely high preference by those on the left to use everything in life to project their agenda. It simply isn't possible that they are actually this stupid. They are simply shameless in using anything and everything to further their agenda and often this looks like stupidity to anyone who is normal.

Imagine how useful it'd be if a rightist could elaborate eloquently and correctly on why he loves the country. Or is "freedom and opportunity" - both long gone - it?

I'd like to put Robert Reich down on the Texas border with Mexico and NOT let him have a gun. We are at war and Reich doesn't know the difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. Illegal aliens are severely harming Texas and the Obama Administration couldn't be happier.
