Nice column, but I think it misses some things.

First, it's not really about bathrooms. That's just the surface issue, but even at that shallow level, the trans/gender screeching from the left is dangerous and disingenuous. It's dangerous because of the reason that men and women have separate bathrooms and changing facilities in the first place. It's not just for privacy, but safety, too. The number of male sexual predators and rapists is several orders of magnitude larger than of female predators. Mixing men and women in compromising environments puts women at needless risk. This doesn't mean we live in a 'rape culture' as those who are promoting this trans/gender social realignment claim, but if they are serious about that claim, why are they so intent on making it easier for women to be raped? But intellectual honest is not their strong suit since they purposefully ignore the real rape culture that is much more often practice by Muslims.

Second, bathrooms and changing facilities are not the only things affected by this lunacy. For one, women's sports will be destroyed. Recently a trans woman (is that the right term for a man who claims he's a woman?) recently severely beat a woman MMA competitor. If current social trends continue, look for trans women entering women's soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc. I know that Renee Richards broke this ground a long time ago in tennis, but things are different now. Men don't seem to be raised to be men now so look for more of them to decide it might be fun to be a woman. Here, I'm straining not to swerve this rant into feminism.

Third, except for a very small number of people who were born sexually ambiguous, this situation has no basis in reality. Biology has settled the definition of gender for a long time. Because a person "feels like", or wants to be the opposite gender is either a experimenting or delusional. Of course the fact that they would claim such a thing is evidence that the really do believe that gender is static and not fluid since 'male' or 'female' is a standard by which they are comparing themselves.

In the end, this whole thing is about destroying social norms in an effort to destroy society. It's really no more complicated than that.

Actually, I looked it on Wikipedia and trusting them, I was initially heartened to learn that there is not only a listing for gender dysphoria, but also gender identity disorder. However, they seem anxious to give it a biologic cause rather than an phycological one:

Yes, I agree that they will try to remake society. It will be to correct all the wrongs by "rescuing" the "victims" and "reversing" the causes of their victimhood - the heteronormative, cisgendered patriarchy. It will fail with huge costs to everybody in nearly every way - economic, social, militarily, etc.

For the most part, these are kids who have been spoonfed pap that sounds like a John Lennon song ("imagine there's no genders, it isn't hard to do...") by tenured professors who are insulated from the real world and have no appreciation for how or why it got this way and are just looking for something new to rebell against. They not only have been taught to disdain Western Culture, but have not been taught respect for any culture. The kids are know-nothings who know it all and if you know something else, you are part of the problem and you will have to be destroyed.
