Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

This is not only the case in California. It's true in Washington DC with the Federal government. Newt and the Republicans who came into the House in '94 tried to turn that around, but unfortunately it didn't stick.

This is nothing new. Caitlyn Jenner said she gets a lot more grief from people for being conservative than for being 'trans.'

It just shows that all the whining (screaming) about rights for LGBT, immigrants, etc. is a load of crap. It's just a club with which to beat people over the head when they don't agree with you about destroying Liberal Western Civilization.

We seem to be seeing more of these types of opinion/comments. Conservatives are being dehumanized with name calling and there are calls to imprison people for having conflicting opinions for politically correct views.

And now we have thugs attacking conservatives at political rallies and at the rare speaking engagements of conservatives on college campuses.

That people are now agitating that we be killed is the next logical step.

One wonder where it will lead and how far it will go?

I lost interest in sportswriters, sports writing and especially SI when HST quit ESPN. I don't find sports writers any more insightful than sports talk radio analysts.

if you read the comments to the Diford article, you'll find he's pandering to his girlieman clientele. whoever he was, he's circling the drain.
