We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The high estimate is that the sea level will rise as much as two feet over the next century. That does not seem alarming. If one wants to be involved in environmental causes, I suggest that such problems as aquifer depletion and other fresh water availability might be a better use of one's time.

Agree. The climate alarmism crowd is adept at emotion but ignores facts. Their use of the high estimate for sea level rise, as with temperature estimates from "climate models", is designed to bolster their agenda (and to solicit donations).
I am curious to know where this water is going to come from. Melting icebergs? I would like to see the analysis of the iceberg volume (mass).
Last I heard, water has risen 2mm. And the icebergs, or frozen land mass has increased dramatically. A google earth view moving the date indicator shows this to some extent.
