We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Agree. Just read that to my grandson (18 months) yesterday. He brought it over to me, sat down on the floor, patted the floor next to him for me to sit down, and handed the book to me...priceless.
One of those stupid birds made a nest on the bench in my lawn mower shed. On TOP of my spool of weedwhacker string, right next to the boxes of mothballs I put into the motor the keep the mice out in between mows(they'll pack the engine cowling full in two days otherwise).
So now I have to announce myself before going in, otherwise I get a bird in the face. And I had to go and buy a new spool of trimmer string and mothballs.
Luckily I spotted the nest another bird started on my weedwhacker motor before she had eggs in it - same as last year.
It'd be nice if the birds would start nesting after I start needing to do lawnwork.
