We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A fine rant

George Will Is A Haughty Dipshit:  (h/t SDA)



George Will should have been left unemployed and starving ages ago. Newspapers are dying off and people despise the media more than they have ever despised the media—which is saying a lot—and yet here fucking George Will remains, along with the Noonans and Friedmans and Brookses of the world, gainfully employed despite being a worthless, fart-sniffing boob. Try as the world might, we can’t seem to rid ourselves of idiot columnists who make $300,000 just to sit down and invent political trends from looking out the fucking parlor window.....I don’t get how these people have retained any credibility.

I live by Flint. According to Kettering University, everyone in Flint is not drinking water with lead. I read their 16 page report. This is not a fine rant, just a rant.

I have mixed views of George. He's dead-on at times. Others, he is simply being a haughty dipshit.

Brooks, on the other hand, is just an idiot.

The great thing about the American system is that we have ways of replacing our elites when they no longer serve us. All without throwing them out windows, cutting off their heads, or gunning them down with firing squads.

This is our moment to throw out the self-serving bunch who have screwed us and try another bunch.

I can't fire George Will but I have ignored him for years which, I think, is even more bitter for him.

What exactly was the point in quoting and linking to this diatribe ? Drew Magary is the epitome of the mentally, morally stunted boychild devoid of principle, talent or taste. Magary's vocabulary, and most of his subjects, are confined to masturbatory, scatalogical and urinary adjectives and verbs.

George Will, David Brooks and Tom Friedman are all pampered, unctuous princes stranded in unreality and under fire by countless, intelligent people all over the internet.

But you had to choose a guttermouth, semi-literate, politically ignorant adolescent like Drew Magary for the job ? Really.

I read this site every day and while I disagree with opinions here occasionally, I at least feel as if I am in the company of mature adults. Not so with this post.
