Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

On Trump
Well boys, I’ve been saying for purt near a year now, Hillary is gonna be our next president. Obama was hand-picked and did the ground-breaking. The clockwork was set way back then. Trump was hired to set the opposition up. Yet another conservative (although I don’t know where to classify him) that got out and got the people all worked up, money floating all over the place. Fight the good fight and lose in a nail-biting finishing stretch, and the conservatives come home as losers saying “well we almost got it, maybe next time will be better”. Trump accepting the earnings for his role, buried or so thinly washed we won’t see it but his was win-win and the Clintons have heavy weight backing them. Follow the money. “Why’d you do it Donald?” gets you “Because that’s where the money is.” Yes, they own Hillary and Trump. When I say "they" I don't mean any Red Mountain ubermenschen , tin foil hats and all. But I don't think global politics is like two neighbors leaning on the fence talking lawn mowers. I mean, really, where do you think the money comes from? We're talking global "money". Yuge money, they don't even bother to count it, they weigh it. You'll know they are hedging their bets when the nasty stuff on Trump is only dribbled out, just enough to make people who hate him talk. Just like with Clinton, Bush, Obama. Keep the kooks spun out on their own conspiracies while your guy does the exact same job the last few guys have done. Bath House Barry found that out. Yes, Trump is on the payroll. And the beat goes on. you are wrong. it wasn't They who bought Trump. it was Them, helped by the Others. They are stooges and followers. Them are the true secret servants of the Powers that Be. TPTB aka New World Order are behind a vast hydra-style konspiracy that's been known through History as the Merovingians, KAOS, Murder Inc., the Guys who took control of Breitbart's Car and the Bush-Windsors.
now that you've figured this out you, and all MF's readers who read this, must be Disappointed Disappeared. you could have saved yourself with double extra heavy aluminum foil hats and capes, but no, you had to dig out the TRVTH. now pay the price. and the price will be Yuge. "[N]ow that you've figured this out you, and all MF's readers who read this, must be Disappointed Disappeared. you could have saved yourself with double extra heavy aluminum foil hats and capes, but no, you had to dig out the TRVTH. now pay the price. and the price will be Yuge."
Or, as I like to ask the conspiracy nuts who "expose" the "truth" about the machinations of "Them": "So, if all this is true, why are you still alive and permitted to post it? Why haven't you had 'an accident'?" they're Special.
I'd like to put that question to the prisonplanet guy, after I tell him to spit out the gravel and stop smoking for a week. I have long had a lingering suspicion that Breitbart's car was not under his control when he was killed. I will try to find the video for you this morning, but in the meantime please read this:
http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-35841571 Sorry, should have my cup of joe before posting the last comment. I have forgotten the name of the journalist whose car was caught on security cam --
His name was Michael Hastings. Here is the video of his car crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zakBULPETo
Starting at 18.29 minutes here is a summary of thoughts from his friend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm5E10EhSp0 Do a google search for Michael Hastings. You will find his reporting on Petraeus and the head of the CIA. I am familiar with that street he was killed on--it does not make any sense. last post on this today:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNhqKRugk8Q I tend to agree. I don't like being sucked in by conspiracy theories but some of them do indeed seem to be true and this looks too suspicious to ignore. Unless he simply choose to commit suicide I think the only possibility is that his car was tampered with.
As for Hillary being the next president; I think the odds are in her favor. But not because Trump might be the candidate. In fact I think the odds were always in her favor and Trump is the wild card that could take it from her. Trump has done the unexpected, the impossible; he has dramatically increased the number of Republican voters. But my reason for believing Hillary would win is the old fashioned reason; voter fraud. The president is elected by five or so swing states and within those states by one or two counties. The Democrats have been registering dead people, illegal aliens and others in anticipation of the election. The Democrats will "get out the voter" just as they always have. This failed them in 2000 in Florida. In spite of all the hype and claims that the Supremes gave Bush the election we actually were witnessing the Democrat machine stealing an election that should have been stolen at the ballot box. What went wrong was a stronger Republican turnout than was expected and it had to be 'fixed'. Watch for blatant election shenanigans. I enjoyed the Spectator article. Have been saying for some time that Trump will take all the blue-collar Dems away from Hillary. The Democratic party has become the Progressive party, hopelessly mired in identity politics, and that leaves a lot of people out in the cold. Most people that work for a living don't want to talk about transgender bathrooms, get scolded by BLM activists or join a lynch mob against the rich. The Dems get a platform for that stuff because of their silent base, the majority of which consists of ordinary, white, straight working Americans who happen to be Democrats. They aren't racists, but I don't think they view the primary purpose of their political affiliation as the pursuit of racial, gender, ethnic or other redress (excluding college students as they don't actually work for a living). The Dems have gone absolutely off the rails and their base is looking for a new home. The GOP hates Trump because he's not an dyed-in-the-wool conservative like Cruz -- but that's exactly the reason he can appeal to all those Dem voters.
Don't believe all the bullshit you see on TV about how this country is so divided. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and that's what has been going on for the last 8 (16?) years. There is a huge center here and at some point they are going to say "Enough". Obvious to me that Trump is the candidate the left fears most. Suddenly, Obama is interested in helping Hillary? Yeah, he sees it. He knows she's a weak candidate and is probably hearing stuff from his Union buddies about how many union members are talking Trump.
After reading this morning's article about a threatening letter sent to Eric Trump, I know that Trump is not a democrat plant nor is he a 'liar' or 'con man.' If that were true, he would be backing down right now. He wouldn't risk his own family and his own security (his SS number and phone numbers were released by Anonymous today/yesterday) for this. Trump is serious. He will make change. That is why both sides are frightened. They will lose their control. You are watching the last gasps of a political machine that doesn't realize it's dying, still trying to fight back with all its might, and failing miserably. That should tell you everything about who to vote for in the primaries and in the fall. Bankrupting the coal industry.
From the article: Peabody Energy Corp , the largest U.S. coal producer, said it may have to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after it delayed an interest payment due on Tuesday. Falling demand for coal, tough environmental controls and growing competition from natural gas have pushed several big coal miners, including Arch Coal Inc, into bankruptcy protection over the past year. http://fortune.com/2016/03/16/peabody-coal-bankruptcy-risk-energy/ Re: The Obama Doctrine
We'll never know if the Obama Doctrine, "Don't do stupid sh*t", would have worked. Obama has yet to try it. "Impaled on its own petard." One cannot be impaled on a petard, which is a small bomb. It was used to blow open doors or gates or to make a breach in a wall. The user had to affix it to the target, light the fuse and get away. Petards were subject to premature detonation. Hence the word "hoist," lifted off the ground by the explosion.
I've always heard it as "hoisted with his own petard." (http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/hoist-by-your-own-petard.html)
The past participle of the now-obsolete verb hoise is hoist
If the verb in the saying is hoist, then hoisted would be the correct conjugation. If hoise, then hoist. re Stamina - Trump’s Linguistic Kill Shot for Clinton
Scott Adams describing the psychological success of Trump's tactics is interesting. One wonders if it is by design or accident? If it was planned to work out this way, did Trump figure it out on his own or does he have some very shrewd advisors? Trump has a natural ability.
"Trumpophobia: Around world, doubts whether Trump could 'make America great again'" Yeah, they're doubtful as to whether he can make America great again. That's the ticket. No, they fear that he will. The world, at least the West, hated Reagan because he pulled us from the Interventionist hell of the 1970s. A recovery that stressed the Soviet Union right up to the breaking point. Of course there are. Predictions are difficult, especially about the future.
Europe gets is news about the primary filtered first by the US East-coast press, and then filtered again by their own press' misapprehensions about the USA.
It was always amusing to me when living over there to watch it. They are getting only half the story, and then it is related to them using a reference frame that imparts its own twist. I am looking forward to Donald Trump "destroying the country." Someone needs to do it, clean out all the corruption and power structures, and then Americans can start anew.
And I am looking forward to him destroying Hillary in the general campaign. He only has to hammer every day on how she has violated the national security laws thousands of times and put our country in danger, and how Obama is just as guilty for protecting her from indictment and prison. And then he can start on how she and Bill have made hundreds of millions of dollars by selling our country to the highest bidder. |
