I think he is too optimistic. I think that the Davos caste and the transnationalists have a lot of kick left, and let's face it, time is on their side. What the voter has to figure out is how much is he/she willing to give up in the way of American values, rights, and sovereignty to international bodies. But rest assured that they do not represent the best interests of the American people, at large.

Very good piece on end of Moore's Law, some excellent points. Would have been nice if he pointed out that industry worked to stay on Moore's projection, it was as artificial as nutrisweet.

The song's lyrics are about a girl the singer sees at a dance. "You know what I mean" could mean almost anything the listener wants it to mean.

That the author sees a reference to statutory rape says more about the author than about Lennon and McCartney.

this is wrong. the style of the Kim dynasty is easily dismissed as psychotic, but it's better described as oriented towards survival and surviving for 65 or so years means not being suicidal. NK does not possess the numbers of nukes or the delivery systems to overcome basic cold war calculations. a first use by NK of nukes against the US or its allies could not prevent retaliation that would result in destruction magnitudes worse than the USSR would have faced after a hypothetical first strike against the US. a nuclear attack means the gloves come off and the response won't be delayed grain shipments or UN condemnation The USSR understood this, Kim does as well.

No duh that North Korea couldn't win a MAD exchange.

Their nukes do give them an umbrella to conduct many nefarious schemes, much like it would Iran.

That article also noted a RAND analyst who came up with the same estimate of yield for the last test as I did - 50 kT, probably a boosted fission device.

Their satellite launch also raises the possibility of their having a FOB weapon, also useful for the EMP attack.

I found the article a realistic look at North Korea's strategy and capability. South Korea is also taking a very aggressive stand. Don't be surprised if they field THAAD in spite of China's complaints.

That's nice. However, there are political differences among Americans, and those differences include liberalism vs. conservatism, left vs. right, Democratic vs. Republican. I think Trump has crossover appeal among that wide swathe of average Americans who are not political doctrinaires and whose voice has previously been mute. Obama has done so much to polarize people---by promoting Marxism at the expense of traditional personal and economic freedoms---that it's probably a good thing to try to get America moving forward again along the broadest possible lines.

Insisting that the country perform a political 180 is probably not the most rational course of actions the Republicans can pursue.

Bull. DiCaprio correctly identifies rampant, corporatized animal agriculture as the greater threat to the environment, a principle not unfamiliar to what we used to call conservationists back in the day before we Carl's Jr'd everything and called it stalwart, rightist 'Murca like we do today. The fact AGW is bunk doesn't mean there aren't environmental disasters. Just because Boston isn't underwater doesn't mean you want to raze the rain forests, for example.

The ostensible right really, really needs to drop the codependence and foolishness it manifests chasing every syllable and molecule generated by the left. Cause that's dumb. And it's nuts when the right can't even identify valid issues or principles anymore, which it can't when it's forever culture-signalling instead.

The guy may be smarter than you think. He may very well be smarter than you.

Review again; DiCaprio probably has far more on the ball than culturalist rightists may think, if think is the right word is the right word for what cultural rightists do.

The point is that sloth has doomed rightists to squander structural originalism for many, many decades, a talent they seem to resist being disabused of in the extreme. But they love their culturalism.
