What is Marco Rubio Waiting For

I can't help but look at Rubio and see the high school president of the Young Republicans Club, a pretty boy, the smartest kid in the room, and a teacher's pet who would be eaten alive by a real-world adversary like Putin.

I think that is one of the biggest problems with Rubio. He was rolled by Schumer and though he may have learned from that, that argues that he may likely be rolled again by someone even more demonic.

I think there is a lot of truth in it, but I am always skeptical of futurism that is Hegelian or Calvinistic (i.e. is predestined or can be predicted to follow inexorable laws). "It is tough to make predictions, especially about the future." The only thing certain about the future is that it will be different than the present.

It is an interesting, and EXTREMELY unPC premise, that seems to have some merit. But I lay the blame on the left rather than on women or men who support their full participation in society. It is the left that promotes feminism, the destruction of the family, feminizing men, and importing the Islamic hoards. Women's rolls in those destructive endeavors might be ascribed to their more emotional decision making, but I think the ideas are the real killers.

I've seen this assertion from others, but I don't think the "business is different than politics" applies to Trump's history. Unlike the run of the mill CEO, Trump's business of real estate development had him working deals with some of the most corrupt and venal levels of government is some of the most corrupt and venal locations, NYC and NJ.

Trump wasn't just a boss who commanded his domain, his domain was populated by powerful political forces, most of whom needed to be compromised with in order to move the projects forward.

You know, I had a look at your Constitution to see what the qualifications for the US Presidency were.

Gosh, I failed to find any reference at all about the need to be a longtime Beltway insider and professional politico, preferably with an Ivy League law degree, optimally a senator.

Nothing about being married to a president counting as experience either.

All it said was:

"No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States."

Huh. Go figure.

Houston, we have a problem. People are running for the office whose parents were NOT citizens at the time of their birth and one has once again sealed his records so the facts cannot be presented to the voters.

Re: Trump is a Rump

The only disagreement I have with the author's detractions of Trump is the first: that he is the candidate who is most out for himself. It seems clear to me that Hillary takes that prize and I don't think it's even close.

And I agree with the author that I don't want him to be president, but in addition to the positive aspects of Trump the author listed, I can name three reasons to vote for him, two of which seem to be unique to him.

1. He is serious about stopping illegal immigration. I believe Cruz could be as good here so this is the one that is not unique to Trump.

2. He will prosecute Hillary. Unless somebody else agreed to do that in last night's debate, nobody else has suggested doing that. I think this is important and I hope he expands it at least to Holder and Koskinen.

3. Al Sharpton says he will leave the country. The fact that other's have expressed similar plans is just icing on the cake.

Not only will Trump prosecute Hillary, he will say it to her face on live TV during the presidential debate. He will tear her to shreds.

FYI, did anyone else read today's news story about how Dems in Massachusetts are worried about the popularity of Trump and how he might win blue collar voters on both sides? If that isn't enough to get you to see that Trump is an excellent choice for a candidate, then I don't know what else to say.

I agree with Trump's main focuses: immigration, trade, Obamacare repeal and replace, economy, military/vets. That is really all I need at this point. These are the things that impact my life every day moreso than any other topic. His tax plan would save my family thousands in taxes with his shift for the self-employed.

I'm not afraid of a Trump presidency at all. The man does not like to fail. He enjoys a challenge. After last night's debate he spoke about how much fun he had (yes, fun, getting attacked on both sides with very personal digs at himself and his business ethics). He didn't look tired or sweaty. He looked invigorated. That is the kind of president I want when facing down Putin. The fact that both China and Mexico are speaking out about electing Trump is all the info I need to know my vote is going to the right guy.

Yes. I agree with it as far as it goes, but one can't lay the blame solely at the feet of women.

This all has its roots in industrialization. Industrializing and urbanizing the West took people away from their farms and food supply. When workers were laid off and/or were unable to find work, how were they supposed to eat? This is what gave rise to socialism.

The siren call of socialism is that it will give you security in exchange for freedom. Women are a natural fit for socialism. They are biologically wired to trade freedom for security, but the West could not have been feminized without the help of leftist men.

Industrialization gave us more of everything, particularly food. It made the welfare state possible, and the Left implemented it quickly in historical terms.

Once leftists control a country, ruin is inevitable with or without the feminists. What is interesting though is that in Eastern Europe/USSR where feminisn never took root, the collapse was economic. The civilization is still there. The outcome for the West is very much in doubt.

But is a collapse in western civilization the fault of women?

One can make the argument that unlimited immigration is a ploy to perpetuate the power of the ruling class. It certainly is the case here.

In addition, there is The Narrative, which states peaceful, innocent third worlders must be welcomed because our racist ancestors oppressed them. I am not so sure that idea came from women, more likely it came from adult spoiled children with too much unearned time and money on their hands.

Plus, increasing the size of the welfare state through immigration requires more government to shepherd the new arrivals. That's a good thing if you like lording over people and want to increase the size of your bureaucratic kingdom.

Bottom line is that while feminism surely plays into the equation, it is not solely to blame for the West's predicament.
