We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Embarrassing

Hillary speaks to a black audience. What is she thinking with this? That they won't understand her if she speaks normally?


Most embarrassing thing I've seen in this very embarrassing circus season. I dare you to watch it.

This is a blog that is no longer regularly updated. Most of the posts appear to be 10 years old or more, but if you rummage through it, Johannesburg is looking a lot like Detroit.

I find Hillary revolting in all ways but I fail to see how she was not "speaking normally" in that video relative to how she generally speaks (the link provided by mudbug, the original doesn't work).

Heck, she was about as close as she can come to being non-revolting. Heck, she wasn't even affecting a "black dialect". She blathered what, to her, is a bunch of brief nonsense about singing while facing troubles and promptly exited stage left. Possibly the most innocuous Shrillary I've seen in many years. I wanted to thank her for her brevity as she didn't hang around long enough to induce nausea.
