Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Girls need fathers too

Boys Need Fathers, But Don't Forget the Girls


Children need good, strong, reliable, honest, dutiful, demanding parents. It's that simple, and everybody in the world knows that. After that, it's just luck.

Yes, yes, yes. Women need their fathers. I'll never know what I missed out on. Huge hole that will never be filled.

Divorced dads: no matter how difficult your ex makes it for you, do NOT lose touch with your daughters.

There is evidence that girls without fathers are much more likely to become involved in unwise pregnancy. My speculation is that without an initial relationship with a responsible, loving adult male they may be more likely to be unduly influenced by overhormoned teenage boys.

This is a personal concern, with my wife's 11 year old grand daughter whose (jerk) father is out of the picture. I hope I can be some of the role model she needs.

Daddy what have you let your wife teach your daughter? is she a do/die feminize with no values, no sense of ethical behavior, no personal moral code? Then you have raised a weak human being!! The more "FEMALE MENTORS" she needs to get through the day the more you failed. See here
