We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. "GOP fear and loathing"

They should be embarrassed. They are clueless and prefer to remain clueless. The GOPe believes they can ride out the citizens anger, get elected and then go back to business as usual. Continue to lie and appease every two to four years and then enjoy the power and dispensing of political favors and taxpayers money. Sure the country is going to hell in a hand basket but they are confident they can ride this bitch down and get out before the big crash. But they just don't understand the voters. Why are they angry when we call them names and allow millions of legal and illegal aliens to take their jobs and taxes? Oh well they must be bigots or something.

Leave it to the loony lefty multiculturals to lecture us about the "Culture of Rape" in the West - specifically the US - at the same time they lecture us about Islamaphobia all the while, the real Culture of Rape is being imported via Muslim immigrants. In fact, the disease of multiculturalism in some parts of the West that rapes (even of young girls) committed by Muslim men are covered up by government officials who are either eager not to be or afraid of being thought of as Islamaphobic.

Of course multiculturalism doesn't mean that all cultures are equal to the West. It means that all cultures are superior to the West even in front of evidence to the contrary. It is just another example rot instituted by the Left. Thank you very little. Haven't you done enough?

Poor ole Ted Cruz is actually a tool of the GOPe, backed by a PAC organized by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell attorney Eric Lycan. The result = the same old, same old crew running our government seeking more and better crony deals padding the pockets of career politicians who have not one care about how this is working for the citizens they supposedly represent. Shame on Ted.

Politics really does make strange bedfellows. Cruz called McConnell a liar - because he was - and now his super PAC is supporting him! I suspect Cruz has mixed feelings about it (glad to have the support but not excited about who it is).

"Afraid" is not the right word. Don't remake this into a discussion of who has the courage to change and who doesn't. Most people who don't like Trump don't like a) some of his positions, b) his willingness to be insulting for no reason, c) his history of support for Democrats, or d) all of the above.

FWIW: Clinton And Trump Tied In A New Zogby Analytics Poll

The new poll shows a 16 point gender gap with Trump leading among men 50%-42% and Clinton ahead among women 48%-40%. Clinton has wide support among 18-29 year olds (57%-25%) and holds a seven point lead among 30-49 year olds (49%-42%), but Trump is ahead among 50-64 year olds (50%-44%) and has a two to one edge among voters over 65 (61%-30%).

While Clinton is where she needs to be with fellow Democrats (82%-13%), Trump does equally well with fellow Republicans (81% to 8%). As for now, Trump has a nine point edge with independents (46%-37%). Both liberals (88%-8%) and moderates (51%-38%) support Clinton, however (leading conservatives arguing otherwise) conservative voters are backing Trump (73%-18%).

I find these numbers very interesting. Not too long ago Trump's numbers were not this good against Clinton. The fact that at this stage in the game (pre-primary) Trump has gained so much on the Dem's top candidate tells me there is more surprises to come in 2016.

I wonder, sometimes, if Trump has a chance to take New York in the general election. That would upend the system as we know it. And what about other union-strong states in the NE and Midwest? Union members seem to be crossing over to the Trump camp little by little.

I am speculating that as Zogby is a lefty pollster, Trump may actually be stronger against HRC than he lets on.

Yes indeed, AVI. I wonder about it all.

I can only speculate it is because they hate the Jews.

Jew-hatred is a phenomenon that has always mystified me. It just doesn't make any sense. That it has existed down through the centuries makes me wonder if the hatred is in everyone's genetic code and that it surfaces if the correct combination of recessive genes align in one's genome?

Or is the Jew-hatred just God continually testing them to see if they are worthy?
