We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I used to be able to do a passable rendition. The story about the unsuccessful suicide..."if i hadn't been such a damn gud swimmah, I'd a killed myself."
It's not that difficult to do for a native New Englander- just slow down and you're pretty close.
I have listened to Bert and I since my high school days. The contributor to the original Bert and I liner notes spoke at my high school graduation. We graduates were quite aware of his liner notes contribution.
Several years ago I gave my siblings Bert and I CDs for Christmas.
