Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Terrible Real estate photos--
Ha! thanks for this, it was funny. I was looking on zillow recently and one house looked like it had been photoed with a fisheye lens. made me nauseous. Maybe bad photos aren't the way to put it, it's just weird/off putting stuff people do to their houses. Brown University
I have not seen a satisfactory answer to this question: OK, "Black Lives Matter." to whom? And frankly I'm getting niggered and honkied out. Same as it was in Selma, same good ol' Rosa Parks, same busses even. A condition of stasis, no wonder no progress. Might as well be a scene depicted in Tussauds Wax Museum. Black Afro-American Negro People of Color have a dozen different slang names for each other, like "Nigger Thugs" which btw they proclaim with some perverse pride; others that seem derogatory unless it's one of them referring to another of them. Whites are forbidden to use these appellatives and Lord knows what they call us whether we hear them or not. Be assured it is not flattering. Like I said, stuck. Down on the farm, or down on the plantation used to be taken literally; nowadays it refers to the enabling society is doing with People of Color, giving them all that free crap in exchange for, um, loyalty. OK, OK, rant off. I still don't have an answer to "Black Lives Matter" to whom? Ha. Clicked on the link for 'bad real estate agent photos' what a disappointment. Had expected to see photos of funny looking real estate agents and laugh. Instead it was depressing and dreary property photos.
Hilarious trick-or-treat pic.
I've seen worse realtor pics, including some efforts by ones we hired. Ought to be sued... Real Estate? seriously?
And here I thought some of the posts on Spillers of Soup were crummy, shrug. I betcha some of these er, homeowners work at the Great Lakes Paper Clip Factory, thanks to Bob and Ray: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQna34cbPpg Re: Democrats at war with the people
As we know, the first casualty of war is the truth. This is taken from the Democrat's web site: QUOTE: For more than 200 years, our party has led the fight for civil rights, health care, Social Security, workers' rights, and women's rights. We are the party of Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy, FDR, and the countless everyday Americans who work each day to build a more perfect union. Take a look at some of our accomplishments, and you'll see why we're proud to be Democrats. (http://www.democrats.org/about/our-history) They got it right except for the civil rights part, the women's rights part (both of which were filibustered by Democrats before finally passing), and the JFK part (he would NEVER be nominated for president as a Democrat today). "However, I see these black assaults on whites as the fist of the Democratic Party punching out innocent whites – the hand of the Democratic Party pulling the trigger assassinating police officers across America."
The Democrats have for decades used divide and conguer to build their power through coalitions of diverse special interest groups. This works for them but every time they feel they are losing ground they have to double down on this policy and there is no "nice" way to divide people. It must of necessity be offensive and harmful. If you want 95% of black people to vote for your white old candidate you must back black racism and turn against whites. If your black coalition is overwhelmingly lawbreakers then you must turn against the police and the courts. While this choice often places the Democrats in incredibly stupid places (black lives matters demonstrations calling for dead cops) and causes serious harm (dead cops and knocked out defenseless white woman) they can usually depend on the mainstream media to hide the facts and highlight or make up the good things. The internet has made this more difficult and mmore and more the Democrats are looking like the liars and thugs that they really are. But will it matter? It won't matter to a substantial number of Democrat voters.
I'd expand your point: QUOTE: If you want 95% of black people to vote for your white old candidate you must back black racism and turn against whites. This is useful if your candidate is black, too. You might find this amusing. It is an assertion by a Massachusetts Democrat back in 1903 in a debate on Socialism, Frederic J. Stimson. He does qualify it as the "free American citizen". Perhaps as a way to justify the Antebellum Democratic Party or the Southern Democrats?
Of course, now, both Democrat and Republican parties have moved toward the socialist in that they favor the office holder. And sadly, the enslavement of the citizen through regulation. But the Democratic Party has gone full bore on the socialist agenda. What we do know is that neither party favors the individual any longer. Although, the Republicans do offer more favor to the individual by being more accommodating of those who wish to better themselves through capitalism, i.e., the exercise of their personal liberty to retain and invest their extra earnings for future wealth and income. QUOTE: “The protection of the rights of the individual—of the free American citizen—is the very reason for being of the Democratic party. That party favors the individual—just as the Republican party favors the capitalists, and the Socialist party, as I shall try to show you, only the office holder. At least, those who are not office holders will, under Socialism, have the hardest kind of a time.” Re: Students In California School District Now Guaranteed ‘C’ Grades For DOING NOTHING & California's Bullet Train Will Take Even Longer To Go Nowhere
Is it a surprise to anyone that both of these things are happening in the same place? or in California? Redefining "nothing" as a "C" worries me. I assume "A" still means doing excellent work--does "F" mean disruptive or deadly behavior? And is it still a bell curve?
That photo is old hat. Now, if the kid had been dressed up as a Coke, then that would terrify people, at least in NYC.
Given the alarmist media reporting about the latest WHO announcement, the kid should have dressed up as bacon rashers.
If you want to vote Republican in the Arizona Presidential Preference Primary (the primary COUNTS), make certain you are registered as a Republican…Independents are not allowed to vote Republican in this primary, forget about what they say on the AZ.com website.
You have voted before, etc., easy step to be eligible to vote -- simply visit: ServiceArizona.com/VoterRegistration and update your registration to Republican. The return address is the GOP Arizona Republican Party. However, servicearizona.com/ is a valid subcontractor for the AZ MVD which handles voter registration. Those living in other states and registered as Independent should check the laws of their state to verify such technicalities. "Terrible real estate agent photos"
The ones that really affected me once in real life were of the interior of a house where in every photo there were empty hard liquor bottles. On the kitchen counter, on top of the kitchen cabinets, in the living room, in the bathrooms. And not just some, a lot. My two thoughts were (1) that the owner must have died from drinking or suicide, and (2) that his relatives and the realtor didn't even care enough to clean up the house and remove the bottles before putting it on the market. Very sad and creepy. Suspicion on Republican rants. Conservatives have to ramp up to 11 to keep from being ignored. Then when the legacy media finally acknowledges the issue, people turn and go "Dude, you're out of control, calm down!" And by that time, it's true.
Don't ask me for a solution. "Al Gore Thinks CO2 Is Making People Dumber". Is he speaking from personal experience?
