How much sleep do adults need?

The reason I ignore these types of articles is because we are all unique and they generalize everything. Everything in media today is based on it's CRISIS! status to get you upset about everything. As if everything isn't upsetting enough already. Now they have to attack your daily life and tell you how to do that "right".

It's a solution in search of a problem. Without GMO's we are going to have food scarcity, because organics can't feed the world and their success rate is based on the conventional crops that surround them.
Labelling will raise costs. Had a good internet argument with someone on this. It's not just the matter of slapping a new label on something, it's the bureaucracy that will be created to run, oversee, regulate and fine the shit out of you when you don't comply.
And for what? We've been eating GMO's for 40 yrs and we live longer, healthier with more choices of what to eat.
First world problems. Again, everything is a crisis. Having too much food is a crisis. If you don't like the food offered or want to pay more for your 'organic, gluten free" then grow your own.

This won't change as long as the education system is still run by progressives and the welfare/unemployment system is still paying people not to work. As long as our entire propaganda system keeps churning out narcissists with mile wide, inch deep self esteems.

Sweden, Austria, Germany et. al. are overwhelmed overrun by refugees.
Maybe I missed something. The question first asked and resolved should have been "Do we let them in, or not?"

And all the countries, including ours, skipped past that one and went to "OK, how?"

Like putting your socks on after your boots.

What Sweden and these other European countries are experiencing is just a bit worse than America experiences every year. With difficulty, we have managed it, though decades of it does take its toll.

It is shocking to them because of its newness, and because Europe has succeeded in moving ethnic groups each to their own countries since WWII. Germans moved back to Germany from Czech and Romanian lands, for example. Where this has not fully occurred they still have conflict, despitte their all-around European niceness that is reportedly so much better than ours. Belgium and Ireland, for example, without even having to peep an eye at SE Europe. Now that everyone doesn't look like second cousins, their inner racism, which has always been far worse than American, is showing through again.

Maybe they'll stop sneering at America and Australia now.

Good luck trying to live through it without carbon based fuels. And how much solar power do you expect to get from your solar panel (that you are so proud of) when it's got six feet of snow on top. Additionally, most wind turbines get shut off when the gales get to fierce, just when you will be needing them the most.
Even last year it was revealed that the off-shore wind machines didn't get enough wind to generate much power most of the winter but actually consumed more power from the shore to keep the equipment from getting too cold and being damaged.

It was never about the climate, it was always about political control and political power.

Guess we passed that new law allowing us to ship our natural gas to EU just in time. Hooray for Carbon!

I saw that. Also, she and other Democrats were running off how we are socialists now, listing social security, etc., but even so far as to say funding the military was socialist. Same with roads.

They are working hard to obscure what socialist really is, compared to banding together to for the common defense and building long thin infrastructure which is best handled as a common resource.

The much bandied "No Taxation without Representation" was, historically, only part of the concept. The missing second part is "Taxation for the Common Benefit". The military and roads are for the common benefit as the former keep out interlopers and the latter is used by all to further their interests, be that visiting grandma or getting goods to market.

This was engineered by liberal Swedish politicians, it is no accident. The intent of the new immigrants is to take over and displace the Swedes. You will see it soon, already we have attacks and rapes soon it will be murders and vicious attacks. To some it will of course be "racist" to try to stop it. Sweden is toast, they are done, rename it Northern Iran. Soon swedes will be the immigrants/refugees fleeing real (not fake) threats and violence.

My advice to the Swedes is to arm up, revolt, shoot your liberal politicians and demand ALL immigrants be expelled. Too radical for your delicate sensibilities? Then wait until the new immigrants do it and run in fear of your life.

The picture of the mess hall shows that it has at least two sides of wall-to-wall glass. I'm glad I don't have to pay the fuel bills for that design. I suspect that many of those gushing about this place are believers in AGW. Well, the community center you love so much will disproportionately use energy to stay warm. AGW believers want to cut down on energy use to reduce AGW. Heist, meet petard.

Let's face it, the John Wayne cowboy was fiction. Everything he did happened in scripted movies. It was bound to work out in the end.

John Wayne could walk away from fistfights and gunfights. Try that today and see how far you get, no matter how justified. At the bare minimum the nefarious lawyers will take a chunk of your net worth defending you in criminal and civil court.

At worst you go to jail.

If there ever was a John Wayne cowboy ethic it has been strangled by a government of the lawyers by the lawyers and for the lawyers.

One must recall that Reagan was a Democrat once and look how he turned out.

So the question is, have Fiorina, Carson and Trump gotten religion, so to speak? Or are they just opportunists that will talk the conservative talk to win the prize? I don't know the answer.
