Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Hurricane aims for NY and New England

Here. No problem, we can handle it. It's nothing new. It's the big Nor'easters that give us trouble.

"We can handle it" New England hardiness no longer exists. Panic at the first sign of any storm because people can not handle them (rain or snow) in any shape or matter. Living in Massachusetts for the past 20 years and all over the U.S. before that has been an experience on seeing how ill-prepared people in the Northeast are for anything out of a very ordinary day.

The media storm is downgraded from Cat 4 to Cat 2 because of the Cat 4 Oregon shootings and the MSM's inability to multi-process. Hillary is downgraded to a Low Pressure Ridge.
