We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The nutrition article is very interesting. I am not a big fruit eater. I just don't crave it that often. I used to feel badly about it, but no longer as it is mostly sugar. I wonder if it's because my body reacts negatively to the fruit sugars?
Also, I cannot drink regular sodas and full-strength juice. The sugar in it makes me ill. I'm guessing it must cause my blood sugar to sky rocket abnormally high or something. It just makes me feel bad.
If I ever drink juice, I typically water it down to half-strength.
Makes you think even more about the government trying to dictate to all what the 'best' diet is.
