I think you are right about The Ruling Class, Mike. The Narrative has run up against reality and they seem to prefer the fantasy of diversity, and self-imposed white guilt even if it means national suicide.

It's the same problem across The West. The peasants want immigration curtailed and the politicians of all the major parties ignore them. Even here, illegal immigration is given no more than lip service. The Donald, the man with the most strident stand on immigration among the candidates, the man who says he wants every illegal immigrant sent home, reveals his lack of sincerity by saying we 'have to' take in Syrians.

And it's very hard to organize any kind of political push back. Outside the major parties money becomes a real problem and in Europe those advocating immigration restrictions can be silenced by charging them with a variety of hate crimes. Our ruling masters have been very effective at suppressing their political enemies.

Still, I believe the instinct for self-preservation is alive in the peasant class. Like the steerage class on the Titanic, they can only be told there is nothing to worry about for so long before they take matters into their own hands.

The question is whether they will be roused into action while they still have a demographic advantage? I don't know the answer to that, but if they do I believe it could unfold as Ralph Peters predicts.

Perhaps we could suggest that the prez & crew stop bashing Assad so the refugees have a home to return to and a president who has tolerated multiple religions for decades, not including the Muslim Brotherhood which tolerates NO other religion.

I think the age of the article was intentional. I'm not sure if it's true, as the push is just now coming to shove and we aren't seeing the response Mr. Peters predicted.

There was an article a few days ago about how when push comes to shove, the Euros are going to go all medieval on the Muzzies. I'm asking readers here, a) with what army, and b) how likely is it the Muzzies have guys who know guys who can get them pistols and AKs, and c) how likely is it the native locals will be able to get the same when their governments are and have been dedicated to preventing that?

In the comments there, one person doubted it made any difference if the women were unable to move a two hundred pound man plus forty pounds of gears because; a. a man probably couldn't either and b. if a man was 'obese' he wouldn't be in the military. Obviously, unable to imagine that a two hundred plus pound man could be mostly muscle or that there are many battlefield examples of small adrenalin drunk soldiers (and some women I imagine) performing amazing feats of strength (how tall was Audy Murphy?). Which just shows that discussing this subject on 'civilian' forums is silly. Of course its hard to find a vet or active duty combat soldier who doesn't think this is a bad idea.

As long as we are hosting the opinions of non-participants, my concern is that as all US forces get smaller and force levels are reduced this nation needs to send only the best most effective people out there.
The average male soldier is stronger and stays stronger longer with less sleep and food than a woman. Male soldiers don't generally get pregnant, female active duty soldiers do. Over 11% by the report of the Journal of OBYN.
Not since Vietnam has a US unit experienced over 10% attrition in theater, giving a new meaning to the term 'friendly fire'.

Sending American women into battle would be a PR and negotiation coup for our enemies; imagine female American soldiers in the hands of ISIS. I don't want to. I wish I could believe that this issue won't survive the Obama Administration but it will probably take a battlefield disaster to kill it.

I fear hitting the Submit on this comment. I recently got banned for life from another small board for making similar remarks. I cannot understand why some people, especially women, are so ideologically devoted to the issue and cause of getting women into combat.

I knew plenty of Marines and Soldiers who were easily 200 lbs of lean muscle. When I had to run the fireman's carry in infantry school, my practice casualty was a 220 lb man.

Everything I saw in the Gulf War and in training exercises before and after led me to me completely against the idea of women in combat units. Absolutely nothing good can come of it.

I was in the military for 20 years and I weighed 220 lbs. Not obese, 32" waist.
It is a simple fact that men, especially the 18 year old men that tend to enter the military perform well physically. I cannot explain why a 140 lb man who enters basic can easily complete all the physical activities and tests often with ease and eager to do it again while a typical 18 year old woman in good condition cannot complete these physical activities and tests and must be assisted or the standards lowered for them. When I was 18 I could easily do 20 chin-ups, 100 pushups and 100's of setups and when done I could easily do it again without rest. Almost every man that I knew in the military could do pretty much the same.
Many of the basic combat tasks require strength and mobility. For example if your Humvee is disabled in combat you are supposed to dismount the 50 cal from the roof along with it's ammo and run for cover and use the weapon to defend your position. The gun, the mount and the ammo together runs about 150 lbs more or less. Most men can do this, even the skinny 140 lb 5'8" guys can do this. Typically it requires two trips or two men to do it but they do it. Women cannot. At best they seem to be able to drag it through the sand to cover. At worst they simply struggle and make themselves a good target.

Women are simply built differently and do not adapt to physical stress as young men do.

After Infantry school I went to radio school at Twentynine Palms where there were female Marine students. The men were amazed at what they could NOT do. Many couldn't keep up with an easy 3 or 4 mile run. All seemed to have trouble even carrying their gear up the stairs into the barracks - the same gear we had been doing 30 miles marches in.

Unfortunately the veterans, the 20 year men, the entire Commissioned and NCO office corp do not get a vote!

Remember the story last year about the 'purge of the generals'? Unprecedented numbers of Generals and Colonels were forcibly retired by the administration. Selection was very much about who was on board with the new social direction Obama wanted to take the military in. Any General staff that is left is going to be on board with integrating women into the combat arms of all services.

And then there's the new 'Cute' caps that Barry wants the Marines to wear.

What I don't understand is: why aren't women now eligible for the draft, since they're "the same" as men. Anyone pushing for women in combat arms should be advocating for draft equality.

My parents leave for one of those river-boat trips through Europe today. They start in Prague and end up in Paris.

I wonder what Europe will be when I'm their age? I won't be visiting a Caliphate or the new concentration camps - seems to be the 2 possible outcomes.

Forcing a student to sit through a semester of Leftist indoctrination by someone hired to obfuscate US history isn't a solution. Students don't know anything about the Constitution because any facts they might be provided are mixed in with the Humanities, "evil America" ideology.

Civics -"how my country works" - is or ought to be a secondary school subject; by the time you're in college, it's too late. Another massive "fail" of the modern educational system.

(And if it's any comfort, it's not just a US problem. Today our head of state here in Canada surpassed the reign of her great-great-grandmother. But far too many Canadians probably have no idea at all about how the Queen fits in our constitutional framework. And don't dare ask them who the hell Queen Victoria was!)

I remember having Civics in 8th grade along with debate, which was a very good combo for high school American history and Western Civ.

Agreeing with JJM, by the time I took economics and international relations in college, it was all Keynesian/leftist/socialist babble -- and the professors didn't appreciate a debate.

Today, parents have to watch every detail their children are taught as much content is sheer propaganda.

That is simply not true. The answer is to first arrest and confine these people as they cross the border. 2nd to finger print and photograph them and collect their id data. And last to return them to the country of their origin. Commit to do it all within 24 hours of capture and the word will get out that the free lunch is over and they will stop coming.
Use the military not the police, this is an invasion not a traffic stop.

The pope recently announced that the Vatican would take two immigrants in. How generous of them. The Vatican should take them all in. This is what they believe they should do and I think they should step up and do it. Lead by example.

Years ago I went to a nearly empty matinee show in an old theater with a high domed roof. I could hear people quietly talking right behind me, but when I turned around, no one was there. The only people were diagonally opposite under the dome, about 30 feet away.
