We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The Shish Mahal restaurant on Park Road, near the Kelvinbridge Subway Station in Glasgow, claims to be the inventor of Chicken Tikka Masala. I don't know if that is true, but their version is pretty good.
Some years back I worked for a large company with a huge IT shop. A lot of the programmers were Indians recently from India. Once a week we would go to one of the local Indian restaurants to eat and Chicken Masala was my go to meal when I didn't feel to brave. Still too spicy (not hot just overwhelmingly spicy). I have made it at home and cut the spicy ingredients in half and it is really good. It seems to be an acquired taste.
