Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Of course it is. It is a convenient way for the Left to shut down criticism of their policies and beliefs.

Another tactic is to brand everyone who opposes their viewpoint to be a 'hater'.

The American left believes its own bullshit too even though the history of socialism is littered with disastrous failures (and no successes). Greece, Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, China (before eschewing Maoism), Soviet Union... The list goes on, but true believers, fellow travelers, and useful idiots believe that this time is different or they're smarter than both those who tried it before and those who say they know better. I think Greg Gutfeld said it best when discussing the Greek "NO" vote (paraphrasing): "it was as though the passengers on the Titanic had gotten together and voted to hit the iceberg!" We did the same thing in 2008 and 2012 (supposedly) with predictable results.

It's worse than that. They found out that being inclusive of straight guys being drag queens offended tranny guys being drag queens and likely tranny girls being drag queens, who of course offended the straight guy drag queens, and the purse-slappiing and wig pulling was just so vicious!

I was going to say that the solution is entirely in our hands, since all of us as law abiding, moral citizens can, in fact, stop hiring illegals.

Took a quick look at those. Inspired me to create a neologism: Craphorism.
A portmanteau word of "crap" and "aphorism." It's a saying embedded in conventional wisdom like a seed in a pile of manure.
