Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Call out your techies. I couldn't access Maggies via the normal link http://maggiesfarm.anotherdotcom.com/ that showed a page of broken scripting.
I backdoored it through a saved comment link. BTW, I didn't know that Muhammad Youssuf Abdulazeez was Irish? When I noticed that that famous Irishman, Muhammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, was 24 years old and born in Kuwait, I suddenly remembered what I was doing in 1991. Me and my wife were packing the donations to the troops fighting to liberate Kuwait. At a small (failed) suburban Mall, we sorted through the piles of chewing gum, razor blades and toilet paper. She joined the other volunteers and organized the stuff into little individual packets and when the hundreds of packets had been sorted into larger boxes and the boxes were stacked, wrapped and secured to pallets then me and the other bigger guys lifted them up onto and packed a truck to the roof. Every week, two nights a week. Until our military was successful in freeing Kuwait and liberating it's people.
Ironic, isn't it? QUOTE: Let’s Face It: Planned Parenthood Is Evil ... it’s completely legal to kill an unborn baby for convenience and then sell its parts for cash. Thought we covered this. The full video contradicts the claim that tissues and organs were being sold. QUOTE: Little Sisters of the Poor can’t tell the state they’d rather not buy condoms In fact, the government requires that if they don't want to provide condoms to their employees through their health insurance plan, they just have to "tell the state" they have religious objections. No, it does not. If you really think that 'reimbursements' for shipping of a single baby liver costs $30 per liver, then I have a bridge to sell you. NO money should change hands with the provider of the donor organs. All StemExpress would have to do is provide the containers and pre-pay the shipping. This woman on the video should have no clue how much this supposed 'reimbursement' costs.
Additionally, are you really okay, Zachriel, with a woman's abortion being manipulated in order to not 'crush' wanted organs? That this baby is seen as 'useful' for medical experimentation? This sits well with you? At least that one thing should make you feel something...and if it doesn't, I feel badly for your lost humanity. The descriptions on the video were disgusting and sick. The fact that this was discussed over lunch and in a public place also shows an absence of normal human emotion....which is disturbing. Miss T: No, it does not. If you really think that 'reimbursements' for shipping of a single baby liver costs $30 per liver, then I have a bridge to sell you.
Um, you can't just put it in a box and put a stamp on it. If you think $30 is a significant figure in the medical industry, you might want to take another look at buying that bridge. Miss T: That this baby is seen as 'useful' for medical experimentation? That's a separate question. Once a woman decides on an abortion, the remains have to be disposed of. A lot of people decide to donate tissues and organs. Miss T: The descriptions on the video were disgusting and sick. Almost all medicine is "disgusting and sick". Keep in mind that late term abortions are relatively rare, and rarely elective. Most abortions occur in the first trimester, while later abortions are subject to restriction. No. Almost all medicine is not "disgusting and sick". Medicine does not kill a living being - and not for a medical purpose, but for the convenience of somebody. That is what's disgusting and sick. The first rule of medicine used to be "do no harm." That's no longer operative.
This whole sordid affair puts a lie to the contention that what is aborted is only a bunch of cells. A bunch of cells don't have a heart, liver, lung, or muscles.
The rest of this story starting with Margaret Sanger and up to the video in question is disgusting and inhumane. Harper Lee's novel: Not interested.
The Onion: A single stretched to a double. What Feminism Is: A lifetime of PMS. That they insist they want. Yeah, Harper Lee's novel, about 50 years out of date. Irrelevant. Contrived.
No wonder progressives can't stop talking about it. I believe that abortion is wrong and as the pregnancy advances towards birth the fetus is so much more than a cluster of cells. When the abortion issue came to a head so many years ago there seemed to be a compromise or agreement that an abortion in the first trimester was acceptable while later abortions were not. (Obviously I don't mean that everyone agreed to such a compromise/belief but a majority did.) Then came abortion in the 2nd trimester and then the third trimester and of course partial birth abortion (which is about as disgusting a thing as it is possible to imagine). This dissimulation is now exposed by the video, this total disregard for human life is disgusting. What we see in this video isn't the exception or some anomoly it IS Planned Parenthood in all it's glory. It is what it always has been and always will be. Planned parenthood spends 2% of it's time on "planning" parenthood and 98% of it's time on ending parenthood. It always was an abortion mill for profit. According to SCOTUS sleight of hand abortion on demand is the law. But it is not and should not be without controls and the states and the people have an obligation to get the Planned Parenthood house in order.
If the murderous actions of a 21 year-old Southern white man can be held to exemplify all the persisting evils of the legacy of the Old South, then the murderous actions of a 24 year-old Muslim Arab man can be held to exemplify all the persisting evils of the legacy of Islam.
Conversely, if the US is indeed the "root cause" for radicalizing young Muslims into acts of terror, then it must also be the "root cause" for radicalizing young Southern whites into acts of terror. Say, let's all have some cake and eat it too! Not the whole US of A, just the race baiting, duty shirking POTUS. (which stands for "Piece Of Totally Useless Shit")
For the Barrister
And, also maybe Donny- - - Question: why, oh why, &^@*^%$ WHY can't we get the Republican Party to develop a media department with the skills and the insights to start a campaign educating the public on how cult's use the language to indoctrinate, to bully, etc.? The "agents of change" and their white male whatevers are so hard to talk with, to swing over because they HAVE BEEN INDOCTRINATED INTO A CULT ! It's that plain and simple. The techniques used by any cult in the world are the same as those that have been used on our young women for the past 40 years. No wonder they can't consider another way of thinking-- I ask again: why haven't the Republicans been able to see this as the fundamental problem and bring that subject to the public forum? There are well known, well documented techniques -- let's get this conversation out there. So that when woman comes up to you and says "oh, I just love you and your work", you can ask her what she thinks about immigration and not have her respond with "your a racist". Sheesh--let's get past this obstacle folks! We know a gal who is a middle income "advocate" in a well known agency. She cannot bare to hear the "details" of immigration impact on the states along our southern border. Her response "it's just change--change is so good for all of us. Anyway, what difference does it make who occupies the US?" Her suggestion (and, watch for this one coming down the pike) "everyone knows older people are more racist--it has something to do with the changes in your frontal lobe". There is no way this pretty smart gal can back down from the party line! FIX THAT and you might get back this country. you just need to find the right people to step up. I devote my acclaimed, highly polished rhetorical skills to the anti-abortion cause. there are only so many hours in the day.
ProTip: don't ever let the illegal advocates define debate terms. this is the cheapest debate trick of all. "racist" doesn't mean, "anything having to with race", tell your friend it means, "treating races differently for immoral purposes" and then explain that keeping criminals out of the US or letting Congress set immigration quotas is not immoral. "it's just change--change is so good for all of us."
From a Dilbert poster: CHANGE IS GOOD. YOU GO FIRST. RE: Why Are Christians So Serious about Everything? When Jesus says, “My yoke is easy and my burden is light,” do we really believe Him?
this Relevant article is another example of christian-lite. I'd be embarrassed if my faith were presented in such a sketchy, touchy-feely way. a normal Christian could tell you that the burden is light because Jesus is carrying part of it. this article is all over the map and still says nothing. do you guys really have informal "contest[s] of who had the longest prayer time that week or who will be going to the most extreme location on their summer mission trip"? holy shi'ite! "I'd be embarrassed if my faith were presented in such a sketchy, touchy-feely way. a normal Christian could tell you that the burden is light because Jesus is carrying part of it. this article is all over the map and still says nothing."
Yup. Thank you for the insight--it is always much appreciated!
HOWEVER, the point I was trying to make is that we need to RE-educate the nation--teach everyone the basic rhetorical skills and in particular their application by/to cult type indoctrination. I want to see every overweight broad at Wal-Mart able to recognize when she hears it--just what debate/indoctrination tool is being used! Donny--do you know that many, many schools, ironically even small universities with law schools, do not teach rhetoric. The law school may teach a class in debate--but, not make available, or require of every student one semester of rhetoric. That video about selling baby parts is just one example of how it comes back to haunt. IF, the folks doing the editing had made clear to the viewer that the video was long and had been edited only to show the portion that demonstrates one idea (the sale of parts), then the President of women's group could not have come back so easily, and so quickly and make the editors/pro-lifers look so foolish! The fine tuning Donny might have taken this effort way farther down the road. All the other side had to do this week was point out the obvious--it was edited by pro-lifers to make a point, and then apologize for the quick, easy and harmless obvious "she sounded too callous!". A little more finesse is all it would take and most importantly a dedicated team effort to focus on training the American public what to look for--how to hear what's actually being (not) being said. none of this is difficult to learn, it takes a motivated student to do this well and get inside the other side's head. most people aren't motivated.
