Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Muir Woods

Get all the trees, put 'em in a tree museum...iPhone pic sent from a BD daughter yesterday from the Muir Woods in Mill Valley. A magnificent country, isn't it?

Whaaa! I used to be able to hike to Muir Woods from my home in Mill Valley. Lots of second growth redwoods around my house and on the way.

Muir Woods is great. The North Coast is grand. If you have a choice, pick the North Coast.

Have been there a couple of times. Very awe inspiring. Although we learned to get there early to find a parking spot.

A historic side light to Muir Woods is that in the mid 60s to early 70s it was the goto destination for exploratory acid trips from all over the Bay Area, Berkeley to the Haight.

How do I know?
