Keep tissues handy when reading. I don't know what to say about the people who think cosmetic surgery is going to change you. It's like DNA doesn't exist.
Removing the scrotum in animals (and not the penis) doesn't make them THINK they are the oposite sex. it just removes the drive to create offspring.

Not surprising. I've read there is a genetic link to scrapie in sheep. It's found in certain breeds and not others. If humans refrain from eating dead relatives, I guess we are safe anyway from getting kuru. maybe we'll see eventually what prions are and why they do what they do. Wish this article said more.

Good. Hate to say it but the medical system has become predatory. Birth by C-section for convenience. Disregarding what nature intends, and children not entering through the birth canal have decreased immunity.

Parents arrested for kid playing basketball:

Feeding the beast. CPS needs to justify their jobs. It's all about the money. Feds vomit money into these state/county programs, therefore their existence must be justified with large numbers of "success" cases. And real abuse cases fall through the cracks or outright ignored.
Public schools are in this loop with guidance counselors and school psychologists feeding kids into the grinder.

Nobody really gives a S$%t about the kids, except the parents of course. And certainly not the neighbor who could have asked the kid if he wanted to come and use the bathroom or needed a drink or something.

Follow the links. There are documents.

However, I always reserve judgement hearing only one side of the story. It is not merely a ruse and avoidance when CPS or schools or hospitals cannot comment on a story. I have known out-of-control child protective workers. I have also known irresponsible parents leaving out key details in reporting how evil DCYF, or schools, or other institutions are.

the document is page one of a dependency petition, with all identifying information scribbled out, and with none of the facts alleged in the article mentioned.

in contrast, here's a different florida case, a google search turned it up.

these cases are public, unlike the document in Reason, you can read the docket number and judicial circuit and county. redacted is identifying information about the child, not the parents, and the factual narration about what happened is specific.

the amateurish scribbling in the Reason article raises suspicion that all or most of this story is bullshit.

How did the neighbor know the kid was locked out? Did they talk to him?

If he had been quick witted enough to lie to the police and say he wasn't locked out and was just playing outside, would that have worked? Or if he had lied and told police his parents gave him a key but he had lost it, would that have gotten them off the hook?

Aside from the emotional trauma, one wonders what this has cost the family for lawyers?

Neighbors that are snitches are a special breed of scum. I have had them.

It reminds me of how to train your dragon'dragon; all the little dragons must sacrifisacrifice to feed the giant dysfunctional dragon, some of them eaten themselves in the process.

Re the neighbors. Why didn't they just invite the kid in and give him some cookies and a glass of milk while he was waiting for his parents to get home?

But I guess that's an unrealistic expectation of an old guy who was raised in the Leave It To Beaver era.

And. . . once again we have the National Nazi Party of Feminists in WA state creating more "legal jobs" for women or gay white men only! Yeah. . . once more those unable to do the heavy mental lifting of fully understanding the textbooks in law school, are now guaranteed an opportunity to feel important. They get to be "legal technicians" only in WA state where the contempt for law is so all pervasive would this have been created! God help the poor white divorced father who has to use one of these folks (and they will be forced to "have to use") to represent his interests in family court proceedings. The cowardice of the King County Bar Association knows no limits!

Spare me. The people on Chicago's South side are still lacking an adult trauma center because, in her position at the U. of Chicago Medical Center, she shut it down because it attracted too many people beneath the dignity of her elite community…a community that is now picketing for one as the area is increasingly dangerous to live in when there is no available trauma center nearby.

Too much was left out of the quotes; she is a very angry woman who takes great satisfaction in surrounding herself with the dregs of the music and Hollywood scene, flying off on expensive tours with a huge entourage using the excuse she is supporting human rights (hey, where are those human rights in Africa?), and sticks her nose in nutritional issues, costing school systems across the country millions of dollars for food the students will not eat.

The female staff (secretaries, office administration, etc.) of the legal firms in Seattle have been running the legal system in that state for years. The attorneys are just the ones with the license required to open the doors of the office. I had one attorney tell me "I can't do the right thing here--I can't take this case because I can't function without the women in the legal community and they would destroy me if I took this case!"

People love bookstores?

However, as they are closing for reasons other than the owner's death, people must not like purchasing books at bookstores.

Interesting article though, the author doesn't see that regardless of their Progressive bonafides, he is lamenting the loss of the active engagement in civic institutions that characterized the lamented conformity of the 1950s.

Let Your Kids Run a Little Wild

The lessons learned while trying to cover up/recover from some kid behavior cannot be taught in any other manner. Independence, resiliency, comradeship, these are all forged in the heat of impending doom if your parents find out.

How to defeat Islamic State, the ghosts of Curtis Lemay and Douhet are still with us. Making the rubble dance only works if other guy cares about it and the press (bless their hearts) cooperates. Might want to look at what the Brits did in Malaya, however, long bloody wars are not popular.
