We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Very good presentation. Pubbies running for president need to practice his techniques of framing the debate.
I think his argument: "taking a dirty environment and making it clean vs taking a clean environment and making it dirty" is a little weak. You can say that fossil fuels are much cleaner burning than in the past and thus keeps the environment cleaner but one of the ways it got dirty in the first place is because of fossil fuels.
Other than that, it was very refreshing to hear how he is able to frame the arguments and thus be much more influential.
