Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Hillary Tells Press She Only Kept One Phone – That Isn’t What She Said Two Weeks Ago "I have an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and a Blackberry." Anyway, you do not need two "devices" to have 2 email addresses. I have 2 email addresses, one for work and one for life. Woops. Nothing classified? "At least Bill is a good liar." Harsanyi: The Clintons are back. We support Bernie Sanders as an honest Democrat-Socialist candidate. Would not vote for him, but honest at least. I think the Dems will soon decide they have had enough Clintonian slime.

Man, you're pretty hard on pond scum!!! What did it ever do to you?
I was thinking the same thing about email addresses vs devices, but I could imagine that for security reasons the security powers that be might want/require/recommend a separate device for their secure emails. That being said, she should be able to deal with that pretty easily. She probably carries a purse in which she could easily carry a half dozen iPhones and Blackberries. Her explanation was pretty lame. I don't follow Sanders much. I get the sense that he actually believes the things he says, but I also get the feeling he really isn't that smart. I only heard the first question from the Turkish guy and it sounded more like a commercial than a press conference. The little I've read about it since then make me more sure this issue will not go away. I've said before and I'll say again: I doubt Hillary will get the nomination but if she does somehow, she will loose the general election. Pond Scum did 8 years of stuff against me, and The Junkie, too. You, as well.
With that kind of practice, it'll do even more to us if there's a next time. Sam you missed my point about the relative value of Clintons vs pond scum and it's not fair to pond scum to compare it to the Clintons.
It was the Clintons who inflicted the damage on us for eight years, not pond scum. Pond scum is the far preferable choice for president than Hillary! Bernie Sanders is corrupt, defending or ignoring government corruption and those who profit from it as he ignores those who are mistreated by government. See for example his stance vis a vis the VA: http://dailycaller.com/2014/05/29/baghdad-bernie-senator-sanders-has-been-spinning-the-va-scandal-from-day-one/
Actually, Bill isn't that good a liar. Maureen Dowd - not someone who would ordinarily take up an anti-liberal cudgel - described in 1998 that he's a bad liar. But just charming, so everyone gives him a pass. Hillary is less charming.
Why was Hilary Clinton so angry at her ex-employer?
That's all I can figure. Delivering 55,000 PAGES of printed out email is sending a message. "Here they are - [expletive] you and good luck." Not searchable until scanned in, and she can be sure there was no metadata inadvertently left attached. It's the equivalent of paying your traffic fine in pennies: yes, it's all there, but you've also made it painful for the collector. If a place I had worked at needed records that they were entitled to, I would submit them (a) quickly, and (b) in a useful format. I believe the format that Hilary Clinton delivered the emails in shows exactly how much respect she holds for her ex-employer, the United States government. The fact that her top aide, Huma Abedin, also had a Clinton email account while a State Department employee means the citizens will never determine exactly how she earned a multiple of her government salary in consulting fees. I've always been curious, and to be honest, maybe a bit jealous. Angry at the Clintons, yep; but, I would never be jealous of them.
The fate that awaits them for eternity for their sins is something I believe I will miss out on. So, they can have all they have stolen, the other lives they have ruined, etc. They WILL have to pay. Still, even if you did pay a traffic fine with pennies, you'd still have to provide the exact amount and, tedious though it might be, the pennies can all be counted by the collector to verify that.
So how exactly can the US Government ever know that these 55,000 printed pages represent every email? Very good point. If it was anyone else, the whole server and every computer in the house would have been confiscated for examination.
First of all, there have been secure hand-held phones for decades, now. I'm sure some of them, by the time HRC was SecState, were secure internet-capable as well. (There are layers of secure [encrypted] internets, of course). Secondly, it should not be a technical challenge to mechanically scan 55,000 pages of e-mails. Heck, you could divide it up into eleven 5,000 e-mail groups and probably do it even faster. Of course, if the State Department is doing it, they'll get it done in, oh...2021 or so. So take it away from them.
She's trying to throw up a smoke screen. It'll work if the press gets to ask the questions and control the discussion. The R's need to sink their teeth into this and be pit bulls. Ignore the press, take it to the web and be relentless in the attack. "[It] should not be a technical challenge to mechanically scan 55,000 pages of e-mails. Heck, you could divide it up into eleven 5,000 e-mail groups and probably do it even faster."
Even so, you're still only scanning the emails she has actually given you. That would be akin to analysing only the Nixon tapes you were given without questioning whether anything was missing or erased. Imagine if Nixon had said, "Don't worry about the blank parts on those tapes, it was only personal stuff anyway." "At least Bill is a good liar"
That is the big difference between the two, well that and the fact that Bill is charismatic where Hillary is profoundly offensive when you are actually see her and hear her speak. People who know in their heart that Bill was a rapist, was a crook and a liar still like the man because of his winning smile and disarming charm. Hillary doesn't have any of that. She is a shrill, dishonest, unattractive, arguementative, often irrational and always combative person. Hillary is more easy to like if you never have to see or hear here. |
