Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The views are among my favorite things when skiing. Love to look from the top of one peak across at other peaks. Especially lovely in the Rockies but VT is great also. I keep a photo taken at Smuggler's Notch looking out from the top of one mountain at others with clouds below the peaks. All around is completely covered with snow.

I live near Pico and deer hunt the south side to adjacent Killington Peak. The seeming snow covered field in the northwest of the photo is actually the snow covered ice of Chittenden Reservoir. Always nice to see a photo you recognize.

That is why I used to ski when I could. I had reached the Double Black Diamond level, though I am not certain if that is really an objective level.
