We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The other amazing thing is that people seemed to believe that emails are backed up at the origin or destination computer rather than at the server. So it wouldn't make any difference that her hard drive crashed. And even if it did, in my experience, PCs and laptops are periodically backed up by IT without intervention from the user so if here hard disc had crashed, there still should be backups of her computer.
The fact that nobody in IT was asked to restore the "lost" emails means that it was definitely a criminal act and I would frog march that weasel Koskinen first and go up from there.
I share your pessimism, feeble. If a special prosecutor could be named, that would be one thing, but absent that - and with only two more years of this nightmare - all we can hope is that the next administration airs some of that dirty laundry (again not likely regardless of who it is).
Life is Strange.
Even I know hard drives don't just crash , they give you lots
of warning before a problem gets big.
Then you have smart drives which can be monitored
by the it crew , even remotely.
Finally if you did have a boot issue you can use one
of many Linux programs to get the data off of it.
What REALLY happened is the hard drives were destroyed
using the fake reason of a crash to protect the fact that
President Obama (and crew) were using the I.R.S as a
What Richard Nixon did was not jack squat compared to
what the Obama Administration is doing.
And the Republicans ever since "Watergate" have been
