A very large part of the support for Obamacare or any socialized care has been from the quacks. CAM is mostly a witch doctor in a lab coat. In my opinion a large part of the responsibility for the quackery falls on the doctors who should know better but choose to not speak up. Like all socialized health care there will not be enough money for everyone to get the care they need and all of the money wasted on CAM will simply be unavailable for people with legitimate health problems who wish to be treated by legitimate health care workers. You will see the day in your lifetime when you will be told that because of your age it isn't cost effective to treat you. That exact thing happened to my wife's grandfather in Canada. The Canadian health care system told this 80 year old man he needed a bypass or he would probably die from a heart attack. But that the Canadian health care system simply did not have the money to spend on everyone and because of his age they denied him this operation. He died two years later. The irony of this story is he had the money to enable him to drive over the border into any large city in the U.S. and get the operation. He would have gotten it within a week or two. But he was a very proud and stubborn Canadian and refused to be forced to go outside his own country to save his life. And to reinforce that, because his wife was trying to talk him into it, he gave each of his children a check with their inheritance which effectively ended the chance of his getting the operation in an American hospital. I sat right there at the kitchen table when he did it and it was the only time I had ever seen his wife so angry she was red in the face. THAT is what socialized health care will bring to each and everyone of us in our old age. Because you see we won't be able to drive over a border and get the care we need even if we had the money. America was the last place where the health care WAS readily available and extremely good.
