I guess freedom of association means nothing to the left. The subtext is of course, that unions have been a potent source of power for the left. The fact that in some states (thankfully fewer each year) a person must join a union to hold certain jobs whether he wants to join it or not and that unions use dues money for political purposes the union member may not approve of just fits the left's agenda of controlling as many people as possible to amass more power over them.

The author makes a big stink about Scott Walker raising "outside money" to counter recall elections that were partially about rolling back his "anti-union" moves. But "outside money" is a hallmark of Demoncrat money. In NC, it is quite common for Hollywood and other out of state organizations to be major donors of Demoncrat politicians. Then he complains that the Illinois governor used executive action because he had a Demoncrat house and senate. Shades of Obummer. Somehow I doubt he was as scandalized by Obummer recent executive action on immigration or even the dozens of changes to Obummercar.

There is just no hypocrite like a lefty hypocrite.
