Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Climate prof speaks out

“I’m now retired, so I have no scientific career to protect by spreading lies.”


He said he thinks dire global warming predictions are really all about lassoing federal research funding and votes.

Everyone thinking about donating to one of these $19/month cable TV "charities" should read that link, end to end, especially Part IX. This one obviously is close to being a racket, and I suspect all of them are. Someone, somewhere with more gumption than me should investigate and report on the plethora of "charities" no one's ever heard of that are soliciting $19/month all over cable TV.

Pray tell, exactly what is/are the exact items you feel are outlandish and why do you feel this way. Feel free to simply list the top 5 items you feel are so egregious. Please be specific, i.e. don't simply say "this seems like a big amount", but tell us why you feel it is significantly more than it should be.

You can't make a simple statement without adding in an unsupported insult

And you won't do the minimal work of explaining why you believe this is a deceptive charity (which it may be, I'm not taking a position on that.)

I have been saying if you want to end the global warming scare, just start funding research that denies global warming. Even Michael Mann will switch sides.

If you follow the link to the original article in The College Fix, the professor waxes a bit strange in some spots, seeming to say that the US support of "climate change" policy is designed to reduce the worldwide non-white population, thereby insuring that US economic domination continues.

Of course, being strange about some things doesn't mean that everything you say is wrong, but nevertheless, he isn't somebody I'd feel comfortable quoting in public.
