We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I am sure the pork producers cringed at that prank. It can't help but turn some people off from eating 'cute little pigs'. Oh and BTW, sausage doesn't come from cute baby pigs, it comes from grown up animals that aren't so adorable.
And how are they allowed to have a live animal like that in a grocery store? I didn't think live animals were allowed in such establishments. Rules, you know. Cleanliness and all that.
Mrs. feeblemind would react the same way. She wants to make pets of the cows and name them. She admits beef is delicious but does not want to know the animal in question.
Being a butcher is a very low class / caste occupation in some cultures, such as ancient Japan. But in other cultures, you need to learn to do it yourself, so you can insure quality, and don't get diseases (i.e., Kosher, Halal) which is wrapped up as religious practices.
I told both my daughters when they were growing up that if you eat meat, you need to know WHERE it comes from. But my wife loved to tell them the story of how her paternal grandmother and grandfather had taught all their grandkids how to butcher a hog. Not fun, and a lot a work, but one of the results is bacon!
We do consider the many ideas you could have provided for your write-up.. hardcore They are pretty effective which enable it to certainly operate. Nonetheless, a discussions are too rapid for first timers. May you please expand these a bit by following time? Many thanks for a post.
