A recent study showed that there is in fact a "benefit" to business of about $437 billion a year from illegals in this country. But it also showed a loss to the middle class of about $417 billion a year. This didn't include the much larger cost to government due to increased crime, school costs, benefits paid, etc. to illegal aliens. Therein lies the problem. Yes we can absorb 5,000,000 illegals but at a tremendous cost borne ny the middle class. Should the middle class be forced to pay for this decision? We have two choices; allow unfettered illegal immigration which will destroy the middle class or stop all illegal immigration and make a massive effort to find and deport everyone here illegally. Well, we know which choice is politicaly easier. So if we must have illegals then indeed register them and charge their home country for their expenses. When an illegal ends up in our emergency room bill Mexico or China. They won't pay, you say. Of coure they won't willingly but take it!! Freeze their accounts, hold their ships and goods hostage at out ports, sieze their assets. Sound too extreme? But that is exactly what we are doing to our own middle class without even blinking an eye. Tell these countries that if their citizens come here to get "free stuff" that we will bill them for all costs incurred.
